Clearos - right one depends on battery?

Hi guys, need some help! I don't understand why certain clearos perform so badly (when everyone *RAVES* about them), and the cheaper stuff does much better. It must be something to do with how they interact with different batteries. Can someone please enlighten me?

These are my 3 batteries:

- VISION 1300mAH Spinner EGO VV - FATBOY (3.3V-4.8V - I nearly always use 4.8)
- Joye 1000mAh USB Passthrough EGO-T
- UDT-V8 Mod (got it in a contest, did not receive it yet. Not sure what to expect.)

My clearomizers:

- KangerTech EVOD BCC 2.2 Ohm
- Vision eGo Stardust 1.8 Ohm LR
- KangerTech Mini Protank (don't know the resistance)

The plastic Stardust is the best performer for me. Strong flavor, tight draw, lots of smoke on the Vision Spinner. However even this one doesn't perform on the Ego-T; very weak flavors, airy draw... feels like it's not working as it's meant to. I hardly ever use it.

The EVOD is the 2nd best. It works on the Spinner, but doesn't "wows" me. On the Ego-T it doesn't work at all, I feel like I'm vaping air.

The Protank's performance (or lack of) baffles me. Everyone says it's great, pure & strong flavors, etc. I have to inhale pretty hard to get any flavors at all, and soon it tastes burnt. I'm thinking, maybe this is meant for mods, or batteries with more power? Maybe my 4.8V don't cut it?

If someone could please explain, and (hopefully) suggest something that works better with what I have, I'd really appreciate it. :)

Thanks!
Milazinha

I'm surprised that you can even use a 1.8Ω stock atty at 4.8 volts and get good results--that's 12.8 watts!!! I like 6 watts for most of my juices and devices and I find that everything above 8.5-9 watts tastes awful... Are you sure of your numbers?

I use Kanger BCC (T3, eVod and ProTanks) on different batteries--from the eGo-C Twist to Provari and I always get a very satisfactory vape somewhere between 5.5-7.5 watts. I was never a big fan of the CE2, 3, 4 etc. clearomizers and I don't much care for the top coil design, but I've used them in the past (Stardust , Kanger T2 (my favorite top coil) and ViVi NoVa) and they were also at their best at that wattage.

Maybe 4.8v is too much? Dial down the voltage and see where that takes you. I don't go that high even with standard resistance atomizers--I like 3.0Ω cartos at 4.4v or so.

Sounds like you like the higher wattage ;) ... which can burn some flavors or just wash them out.

The Stardust 1.8 ohms has a truer ohm reading than the Kangers and will burn hotter being a top coil.

The evod 2.2 is likely .1 or .2 ohms higher, and most mini protanks come with the "2.4-2.6ohm" coil oem which can read as high as 2.8-2.9 ohm to light for even the eGo.

The eGo-t passthrough... depending on whether its an 'upgrade' model or an older joye or whether it's a knockoff joye could be putting out anywhere from around 4.2 volts IF it's the upgrade in unregulated mode and you have it hooked up all the time ....or 3.3-3.4 volts in the regulated mode ....or even 3.1V if it's an older joye or knockoff. That can mean a big difference in wattage...
