Hi there, I'm Tom :)

I'm fairly new to e-cigs, but have been enjoying for a month or so. I use them to cut down rather than quit smokes. Nothing can replace a good strong coffee with a drum rollie.

First, thanks to all for the info I have gained from lurking in the shadows of the forum :)

Now, i've been considering trying to make a cartridge mod (510) that would effectively work like a click pen. It would allow you to fill a whole cartridge without filler, and use a spring to give upward resistance. It would work in a similar way to a water bottle you'd hang on a hamster cage, pushing a ball up to allow liquid through. This would allow the same experience as dripping, without having to constantly get your liquid out.

In theory, its dead simple. But in practise.....well, i work a 70 hour week on nights, and I'm not that handy. I tried brielfly playing with some teflon I had lying around, but I just came off shift and my attention span is short. Where was I? Oh yes, just throwing the idea out there in case any of the smart modder people may want to give it a go :) I'm tired of carving my hands up with stanley blades.

anyways, if its crap or obsolete, shoot me down :p

I probably wont post often as i'm a bit of a lurker, but i'll enjoy sticking around and contributing when I can :)

you have me curious on this one...where were you intending on putting the button for the mod? could it be a simpler method...if all the parts could be found...to actually make it like you would the rolly ball for the hampster cage bottle? Attach a rolling ball to the open end of the cart, and instead of a button to press, attach a little piece to spin it? not sure if it would work or not, and being that i work full time and go to school, i feel i can only be an idea man on this one. play with it and see what you get. I like the idea, and have been trying to figure out something that would get rid of this whole messing around process with the carts trying to get them to work well.

drozd, yeah you're basically right. I'm just trying to figure a more effective way of delivering the juice to the atomizer :)

Uncle Jar, I like your idea, again allowing a full cartridge then allowing full control over dripping without having to get your juice out. Basically my thoughts were to create a resevoir in the cartridge with a manual release button to drip it.

I'm using scottys (i think?) mod with a straw and silicone plug at the moment which is great, but occacionally a bit inconsistant.
