Back in the smoking days, whenever I didn't want my cat jumping up in my lap or be generally "clingy"....I just lit a cig and blew some smoke in his direction. He was gone before the smoke even got there. Lately though, with no smoke, he has gotten real clingy it seems. Won't leave me alone at times. Not only does the vapor not bother him, he actually seems attracted to it. Anyone notice this about their pets?

Now my cat is an absolute catnip junkie. I actually grow the stuff in my back yard to keep him supplied. I give him a sprig, he rolls around on it....salivates profusely...then eats it....then rolls over on his back for an hour. Wonder if the juice has some herbal ingredients?

Since you no longer reek of cig smoke, maybe he is reconnecting with the essence of his waitstaff (that would be you). :D

My cat doesn't seem to care as long as I keep going outside once in awhile (like I did when I smoked). He is getting long-in-the-tooth (15) now and his day is about food, petting, outside, sleep, food, petting, sleep, food.

vape On!!!

My dog does not notice any flavor other than fruits (especially white choc straw). She goes nuts and jumps in my lap (all 75 pounds) and stares at the LED and waits for me to vape so she can sniff it and then realizes it is not food, lololol. She does it every time knowing that there is not food, but I think the smell must be so good she cannot resist even though she knows there is nothing there.

Hehe - glad to catch this thread! I've noticed it for a while! Out of my 4 cats, I have one chunky one that will glue herself to my side whenever I'm vaping any kind of sweet/dessert type flavors. Another one of my cats completely freaks out whenever I vape anything with any kind of mentol/mint- rubs all over me like I'm walking catnip. The other 2 just cut me weird looks. But they sure used to hate regular cigs!

Our cat usually likes to watch the vapor, but will try to "catch" or lick it when I'm vaping a cola/rum mixture. I've just ordered some chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, and bet he'll try to catch the vanilla.

@maxx Isn't your backyard like "kitty city"? We've got three huge catnip plants in ours, and half the cats in the neighborhood hang out there getting high.

Yeah....it's like the local crack house for stray junkie cats.... :D

Also explains why they hung around here all winter and I had to feed them. When the bush starts to sprout (very soon)....they will be back in force. ;)
