I've only been vaping for two weeks, yes, I'm a newb

I have 3 attys that aren't working (had 4 but got one to work again!) They get hot, but hardly any vape at all...are they clogged or something? Is this fixable?

The "manual" that came with my kit doesn't really say anything about cleaning them. I've blown them out. I'm scared to submerge them in water, alcohol or whatever else people are using. If I'm going to run them under hot water, do I just run the water over the wick part of it, or submerge it? Should it soak for awhile, or just run it under water for a few seconds?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I dropped mine in a cup of boiling water last night, shook it around, took it out, blew it out and repeated 3x. Then let it dry overnight and the vapor production came back a lot stronger than it was before.

I'd say just be gentle, you don't want to break the coil if it has carbon buildup.

Thanks urbancowboy505! Think I'll try that today. So you actually did submerge the entire atty in water and it continued to work after?

By the way, I'm not a big John Travolta fan, but Urban Cowboy is one of my favorite movies ever! lol ;)

I boil attys that have a bad taste to them or if they get clogged up.

Have you been blowing out the excess juice and turning them upside down every night? That really keeps the clogging and bad tasting juice to a minimum for me.

I'm sure that there is a post on atty care that will explain this better.

Happy vaping

Have you ever blown them out?

Get a paper towel and put it under the threaded end of the atty, then blow hard into the end where your cart goes. If juice comes out then it is flooded. Blow until no more juice comes out then place then thread side down on a paper towel overnight so that they can drain.

This might be your problem.

Good luck!

Every time I change flavors I blow out my atomizer.
Every morning I blow out my atomizer to remove stale juice from the day before.

Blowing out the atomizer is super easy.
Just put a folded piece of tissue paper under it and blow into the cartridge side.

When my atomizer is going south, I use the Highping dry burn method to clean it.
There will never be a better way of cleaning an atomizer.

In fact, Highping is getting my vote for best new innovation for this year, without question.

Hi Butrfly4200

You wont do your atomisers any harm by submerging and soaking them in hot water, and lets face it if they're dead anyway......

There are lots of suggestions all over the forums for what to clean with, the most important thing seems to be to make sure you let them dry really good before using them (I put mine on the radiator overnight) and then make sure you prime with 3-6 drops of juice before using
