Hey guys, got my Clone King mod just today, everything perfect, vape was very thick and nice.

Only problem, the lock for the firing button on the bottom of the mod gets stuck very easily.
& While I was trying to change the battery, I took it out and screwed it back in too tightly by accident and
now I've tried pliers with a clothe over it, tried using excessive force on it, and it will not budge one bit.

I've heard you should put lube or oil first before you use these kind of mods, I forgot to lol and I have a friend who owns a vape store in town who might be able to help me with it, but I feel bad since I always bother her with my problems.

Hopefully you guys have some suggestions for me?
Thanks!

First, put the pliers away. ;-)

  • The application of a thread penetrant, like PB Blaster.
  • Heating and/or freezing the mech may help... thicker and thinner metals have variable rates of expansion and contraction, which may allow the lock to loosen it's grip adequately enough for you to loosen it.
  • The "gripper" things you can get at the grocery store, used to remove jar lids... might help as well.
  • Some have had success by using two zip ties, fit in opposing directions, so that when pulled on will tighten to the tubes, offering a better grip and more leverage.
  • Any of the above, in combination.

haha, the plier recommendation was from google... :p and I will!
So basically putting it in the freezer can help?
And it will be safe to do so right? :)

I'm not trolling when I say this, but put the whole button assembly in your freezer for about 2 hours. After that it should come unstuck.

This seems by far the easiest way to try to do it.
is it 100% safe?

Yes, the freezer is safe - take the battery out :)

try using 2 jar gripper pads...
If you don't have those - try rubber dish washing gloves to get a good grip
try "pushing" things together as you try to turn

good luck !
