I recently purchased a brushed steel King mod and I am having a problem with the switch. It seems to constantly need adjusting in order make the connection. It'll be fine for a while and then seems to lose connectivity. I have to pull the atty and adjust the pin in order to get it to work or move the switch button around to get the connection just right.

Am I missing something with this mod or is it a quality issue with clones?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Typically... there are multiple issues at hand, some that only machinists think about... to their great annoyance.

1. Insulation compression/distortion... batteries and pins shift under the (variable) pressures of assembly and the action of firing. Quality of materials equals 'quality' of price... so no clones (or many genuine for that matter) are immune.
2. Battery ends compress... again, pressure.
3. Actual issues with conductivity... due to corrosion/contamination/quality of contact.
Shifting (rotating) the parts that make contact can have the temporary effect of 'cleaning' or realigning those parts, making them less resistive.

If nothing 'moved'... everything was dimensionally commonized, with contact parts perfectly machined from highly conductive yet non-corrosive materials and batteries were axially perpendicular to .0001"... we'd not need adjustable anything. ;-)
