So ive been using a k100 (empire clone) for a couple months now and love it. It's a good heavy metal with smooth threads.

Yesterday I received a caravella clone and the quality is noticeably low. Metal is thin, threads are poor, and both tubes almost seem flaired where the threads are.

Are the majority of the clones like this? Did I just get a good k100 or a bad vella clone?

Pretty much this vella will go on the back shelf as the "oh my god all of my mods failed at once" back up.... And I'll start my penny pinching for the super t I wanted before.

It is not the Clone but the Manufacturers ability to replicate.
Kamry seems to have a handle on functional manufacturing.

Sadly one of the most productive manufacturers - Sigelei is still in the Learning stages. They do a nice job of producing Mods that look nice and feel comfortable in hand but do not have a grasp on Conductivity yet. Failing to provide Springs that will pass current, coating parts that connect together. Simple mistakes that severely cripple otherwise nice mods.

Then you have some shady companies that actually do not build anything. They simply look at market demand toss plans together and have the cheapest pieces made to look something like an original. This is why Research is needed before jumping on any DEAL, many are not.
