I just don't want to buy a mod and be disappointed it's my first one as I've been borrowing my friends real raijin mod and absolutely fell in love, so was hoping someone who owns a clone could give some personal opinion on their Fav and a brief explanation of why

I own the Nzonic and the EA (electric angel) by Ehpro and I love them both. The both accept 18350 up to 18650 batts and perform flawlessly. The nzonic is a bottom fire mod with a magnetic switch that works great. The EA is a side fire mod, so a little different. The EA has a little better performance - virtually no voltage drop. Both have floating center pins so all 510 connections work great. I am very pleased with all of my Ehpro products, mods and RBA's/RDA's

All of my mods are stainless so I don't have any advise on the black ones but because I've owned other things that were metal and coated with a black finish, I know that finish wears off with use.

Thank you ! That's the kind of advise I love getting very helping

Ya, the paint they use on the clones just isn't usually the best quality, they often paint over the threads too. At a minimum you have to clean it off the threads and even then it sometimes causes weird resistance problems just as a coating.

As far as what clone to buy goes, other than telling you to look for a magnetic switch, in my experience it's all about what you like the looks of. I would add Infinite to the list of reliable clone makers, right up there with Ehpro and Hcigar, and add that my favorite mechanical is a stingray clone, but again it really comes down to a nice solid magnetic switch and liking the looks.
