From what I've seen, yes...but it's not universal. Somebody's Tobh might be better than someone's Helios, but their Stillaire might not stand up to somebody else's Mutation. In general though, it seems that you can't really go wrong with hcigar, Infinite, or EHPro. Keep in mind however it's a clone and will almost always not stand up to the quality of a genuine, but that's also not a definite. Some clones are better than even the authentic, and some are made in the same factory, on the same machines, by the same people as the authentics or even other branded clones.

It is a matter of Preference and Luck. I have seen good from most and defects from most.

Went round and round over HCigar vs. Fasttech for a top quality Nemesis Clone. I finally gave in and ordered a Hcigar to compare to my 6 FT Nemesis.
Just my luck, I got the one totally crappy Hcigar that escaped the factory. Bad section threading, horrible switch and to this day the air ring will not turn. I have no issue with Hcigar or others for that matter, but Boy did that purchase prove my point.

Is there a difference between the makers of clones as far ad quality, dependability,( i.e. is ehpro better than hcigar) etc.

Of course. In ALL manufacturing, there is always a difference between different manufacturers/companies.

There are TWO things you can do:

1) Ask around for the overal consensus on the best clone manufacturers. Personally, I think EHPro and Infinite are fantastic. I think many will agree.

2) Try a few different clones from various manufacturers yourself, and see if you can determine which are top notch, and which aren't.

Personally, I don't care much for fast tech clones. People here, and on the other blog RAVE about FT...mainly for its price...but I find most of the quality from FT to be lacking at BEST, complete CRAP at worst.

If I want a clone, as I said, I generally go EHpro, or Infinite.

For whatever atty you want to buy, you need to research and come to a conclusion which manufacturer seems to be making the best one. Read forum threads. Watch reviews. Be willing to spend more if necessary to get the better one. Blow up the photos and study the threading and other machining.

And it never hurts to be handy. Some clones need a little work. Some need a lot. If you're unwilling to do that, save for authentics.

everything i have is from FT other than hcigar taifun gt only because they pulled it before i can order it. they all function great and no disappointment so far. and they are quick to response if there is any issue. i had to replace few parts due to cosmetic issues and they sent them out. so far i purchased 6 mech mods and 6 atties. there are others 4 atties and one more mech mod on the way. only complaint i have is long waiting due to items coming from china. but that's not their fault, it delay due to chinese and american postal system.
