My impressions:
K100:
Pros: Very light. Works well. Stiff button with a short throw, so it works. Worth the $22 I paid for it. Due to it's light weight it's still one of my used mods (18650 mode with 18500 battery and a Crown V2). I went for a Crown with this mod because it's a bit more involved tapping out Kicks to adjust them...not so with the Crown. I really like the grippy sense that the rings of of this mod provide on the aluminum portion of the mod.
Cons: Locking ring was frozen solid when new...had to get creative to find a way to break it free. The threads are pretty loose. I Put it in 350 mode for one day and its own threads in the aluminum part scarred up the inner silver sleeve. So, if you plan to run this thing in 350 mode, consider putting an O ring or something around the inner sleeve to protect it. I can only Kick it with 18500, 18490, or 18350 batteries. I have to be careful when putting the thing together...if the battery isn't centered just right it can go into continuous fire when tightening down the end cap, particularly if using a vape-safe or short-stop fuse in the bottom. The continuous fire issue is easily fixed by extra care in making sure the battery is centered before tightening, but still...it's an issue for me. Also, unmodded, my K100 will dent/scratch the bottom of batteries/fuses if I'm not careful.
K100 Summary - Despite it's flaws, I enjoy it alot. It's light, and it works really well. Just gotta be careful when dropping in a fresh battery.
HCIGAR Nemisis Clone
I got a couple brass ones, simply because they were available and I wanted to give them a try (I think I'd like stainless better). I run an Evolv Kick 2 in one of them, and an Evolv Kick 1 in the other.
Cons:
The Brass ones will tarnish without some kind of self applied EverBright coating. The various rings may not turn to the same colors at the same rates. While I do like a patina brass look, don't expect the clones to give the even patina of true naval brass. Mine are turning with a spotted glittery look to it when close up...the main body and kick ring are turning more red, while the 18500 ring has a more green cast to it. I do swap the rings so my hand comes into contact with them all more...but it's a noticeable difference none the less.
These also seem a bit heavier than the K100 set-up...even in 350 Kicked mode it feels a bit heavier to me than the K100 in any mode.
Pros:
I have nothing but good to say of these in terms of every day low-mid wattage applications. Came with kick and fuse rings. I can kick every battery I own with this PV. I can flush mount every atty/tank I own with it and still get air into them (adjustable air even).
I love how easy it is to get to the Kick pot with this mod. Just take off the top and there it is staring at me!
On the button: I can't compare it to much, so to me it's really quite good right out of the box. Far less stressful to use than the K100 button. I don't doubt there are better buttons out there, or that magnets or other tweaks might improve it a good deal; however, it's quite good just like it is! Mine isn't perfectly quiet with every push, sometimes I can feel a little spring crunch if not a dead center press, but it is extremely easy to fire, and it works every time. My two clones suffer no issues with needing a 'centered' press to 'work', it's just smoother if you do get in the middle of the button.
Chemisis summary:
Heavier than the K100 in any mode, but far more versatile. Having little to 'compare' this button with...I can say it's not bad, and is by far the 'best I've used' so far.
Would I replace my K100 if lost/stolen? @ $20 - $25 from a US vendor...yeah, I would.
Would I get more Nemisis clones? Sure...but I'd like to see prices US side drop a bit on these. I'd like to see more 'US based vendors' carry them and drop the prices a bit.
