Cant go wrong with fasttech's m16. I have the aluminum/brass one in hand with a kayfun lite. Hits like a beast. The contacts are brass and quite hefty and the positive pin is adjustable. The button is butter but its threads are a bit coarse. As long as you give the switch one clockwise turn a day it is not an issue. I am ordering the all brass version for 16 bucks because the aluminum 510 threads are a bit soft. This isnt a huge deal if you are using a dripper or another rba that doesnt have to be removed from the top cap to fill or rebuild. The K-lite fills through the bottom of the deck so i have to take it off everyday and I think thread durability will be an issue eventually. Other than the connection on the aluminum, my only criticism is that in 18650 mode, with a cheap effest button top, one rung of threading remains apparent on both sides of the teloscopic portion of the tube. With my IMR 650s this is not an issue, as they are just a smidge shorter. You will have a very small gap (1 mm or less) in 350 mode, but this is actually advantageous because it leaves the only vents on the tube ever-so-slightly exposed.

Just wondering what clones are good and cheap. I heard sentinel (all brass) from fasttech and chi you from akavapers are good. Any others? Thanks.

K100, hands down the best clone... Hell, it's better than many non-clones twice it's price.

The k100 is a tank, for sure. I like mine. Mostly. It doesn't break, it doesn't complain, it doesn't hit weak. Also, it doesn't stand up on it's own without falling over at the slightest bump, and it doesn't stay put if you lay it down on its side.
I wouldn't tell you not to buy an empire or clone, but I think there are other options with their own pros and cons that you should consider before buying. Unless you can afford to buy a few- then by all means order one immediately. If you don't like it, it will make a solid, dependable back-up mod.

I was close to ordering the aluminum m16, but heard about the soft 510 connection and stopped lol.
