Not bad news, just a little nerve wracking.
She probably got a toenail caught in something (common when it's time for a manicure) and got the booboo tugging it loose. If she gets caught in my clothing, she waits for me to ease it free but if she got stuck on something else…

I was happy to hear that it wasn't any more serious Poeia. So scary when our little ones have a problem. It's not like they can tell us where it hurts.
Mostly they try to hide that it hurts at all. In the wild, flocks, packs & herds often have to abandon injured animals to protect the group.
