Yeah that was little confusing. I thought you were saying you unravelled those strands and used just one. But you run the whol thing through without issues? I'll try that on. The next tank

Try a 1/16 drill bit too. 8 wraps of 30ga. Should be 1.5ohms of cotton heaven.

A place some call paradise
I tried the Pudding straight from the mailbox. I will have to say, it is a winner! I have not tried the custard, I will probably give that a shot later today. A 4mL tank of Pudding in a KFL+ lasted a very short time, so the 15mL order will not work in the future!

Yeah that was my first mistake as well. Next order was for 30's of each but before they arrived I had already ordered another 50 of the custard

We must have different size yarn because when I thread the yarn through a 1/16th coil the yarn just burnt itself in half because the coil was choking it. I'm gonna try the yarn again with the 3/32nd once I finish this tank.

I think it's only one size. Peaches and Cream or Sugar and Cream?

Still tasting pudding a bit in there?

-Lord

Actually no. In fact now that I have baked about 3ml I am pretty certain I taste almost like a bakery type taste in there. Maybe like a sweet breading or something if I don't sound too crazy. I'm really enjoying this vape I think it's right up there with custard now. It's like a party in my mouth. An Italian party of course :p

Y'all are making me want to bust my cannoli sample open before letting it steep!

This 12/27 custard will help though :D

It's definitely vapable out of the mail. But like most liquids it gets better with age. All of Brian's liquids get dark and Taste amazing.

12/27 is pretty good! Carrie has the record with 11/4 or something.

Carrie I liked the Austin heat but forgot if it was a local thing or if it's online. I used it a couple times in my dripper and was really diggin it. The mothers milk was great too but could only do a ml or two at a time.

I have been saving the last of the November bottle for the right topper. I finally had a chance to take a look at my Russian again a few days ago and think I figured out why I was having shorts. Currently I have it built with a 1.3 ohm micro-coil with cotton and it's amazing. I think I have found the right topper for the November bottle, but now I'm not sure I want to vape it since I may be the only person with "Lord's Vanilla Custard." :)
BTW, Austin Heat comes from a local shop. It the same place I get the Steampunk, All About Vapor

Same here with mothers milk. I usually can only vape a couple ml at a time. Then there is your liquids which I can vape for 3 days straight and not get bored at all lol.

Why were you having shorts? Tails of the wire touching the chimney bits?

-Lord

I originally suspected the insulator under the positive block was maybe compressed somewhere causing the intermittent short, but it looked fine. I think the problem was the insulator for the center screw that's on the inside wasn't seated properly. This would make sense, because sometimes if I would turn the center screw a bit it would either cause a short or fix the problem temporarily.
I should have taken pics, because I have never seen any pics of this insulator. Even pbusardo didn't show this on his tear down video. You only see it if you remove the center screw and look up inside the hole.
I have changed out the cotton wick twice now and even pushed a bit on the coil to see if the problem comes back, but at this point the issue appears resolved.

Almost forgot to tell you this part. I knew the problem wasn't my coils, but I wasn't sure how to troubleshoot the problem. Last weekend I went into Lowe's and found this old guy who worked in the electrical department and talked to him about the RBA. This guy had no idea what an RBA was, but he was an electrician. I described to him how the Russian was built with the positive block and screws. He understood exactly what I was describing. He spent about 15 minutes with me discussing how to troubleshoot a short on the Russian!
