Hi all, I've been lurking the forum for quite some time & may as well make an introduction.
I've been subohming & making juices for over a year now but am always looking for improvements--
this site has been a great resource to say the least!

So, to all the rebuilders and rda fiends out there, what's your preferred coil setup for maximum
flavor and vapor? Micros, nanos, macros, diamonds, supernanos etc

always learning & always vaping

I'm new on this so I'm subscribing to this post for answers too as well as ideas on builds. All I have is 28g kanthal though

I can say Nano did some good clouds, but I dislike flavor and such for it. When I bought my mod the guy built I think 3 or 4 wraps with 20g kanthal and it was at .21 I think. It produced good vapor as well. What I am finding out more is juice plays a big role on how much vapor is produced.

The more surface area the coil has the more vapor is produced. My opinion is a nano coil or micro coil is where it's at. 24 gauge Kanthal is generally used as it has less resistance per area compared to 28, 30. Less resistance means you can wrap more coils without going so high on the ohms. Hope that sends you in the right direction. Remember vape safe and have fun :D

sounds like an intense setup for someone new to RDAs hah..
I find that surface area of wire per power draw determines flavor--in other words,
a dual coil setup at the same resistance would give around the same vapor with
much better flavor.

I use an 8x supernano coil build as my daily for maximum surface area of wire per
vapor produced.. Just food for thought, keep vapin'

I'm loving this last extreme build. 17g Nichrome. Outperforms the 22g dual parallel build on my other cloud rig.

I've been thinking about switching from Kanthal to nicrome for a while now. What's the taste like? Is there any difference between that and Kanthal really?
