"Cloud Chasing" Coil Build for MTL ?!

Hey guys..

I know usually its more like "What is the best MTL flavour build?" or "What is the best DL Cloud Chasing build?".. however.. im a bit weird.. i dont care about flavour.. i used the same flavour for 2 years straight now .. i really like thick and dense clouds.. but at the same time i really love the throat hit and style of MTL vaping.. you know.. taking several drags like im smoking an oldschool pipe or something ^

so i would like to have the maximum possible vapour production (especially density/thickness) while still using the MTL technique. I already tried different builds on my MTL atomizers (kayfun lite and subtank mini rba with reduced airhole) but even tho i recognise significant differences betweend builds, i dont seem to understand the pattern yet. It seems to be very different compared to the DL Rules. You cant just increase Surface Area/Wire Thickness/Wattage/Airflow and get more Vapour.

Is there anybody out there who is not a flavour chaser but more of a cloud chasing MTLer ? Any adivce would be appreciated! Also, do the newer MTL tanks (Nicolas, Siren etc.) produce better results?

EDIT: BTW im aware that one can never achieve the vapour production of DL with a MTL Style. Still i would like achieve the maximum possible.

The same basic techniques for getting good vapour production should still technically apply to a MTL device, I would think. You'd just need to adjust for the drastic difference in draw style (and therefore airflow).

I'll be honest, I haven't used a true MTL device in a few years now, but my general tactic was to build a coil squat (wraps) and tight (ID), and super close to the airflow, with a little trial and error in finding out how low I could go, then building just above it.

But that was years ago, on a tiny little atty. I mean, do a quick search for an upcoming MTL RTA from Vandy Vapes (man these guys are just puking out neat, cheap, quality stuff) called the Berserker. I saw the vaping biker (I think) give a quick preview of the thing and couldn't believe the clouds he was pushing out.

You need lots of air and really big lungs with some high VG juice for big clouds. You can't really draw enough air in a restricted air mtl style tank.

MTL and *clowdchasing are mutually exclusive.

MTL can produce big clouds.... just not instant fog banks..


I get biggest clouds from multi wire builds higher power and sucking harder and longer than normal vaping.

I'm running a 3x30ss at .5.... in a Nectar tank.... makes decent clouds if I open it a bit turn up the watts and bump the VG higher.
