ok so this is my first mech mod i ever owned. I have a sentinel m16 with the nimbus rda... As far as safety wise what would be the best batteries to get if i dont want it to explode on me and should i got with ribbon wire or regular wire. what would be the best ohms to get my coil at because i want my setup to be able to give me really good vapor production. Also what would be a good hole size for my nimbus. And last but not least.... ive seen a lot of vids on ppl cloud chasing.... i know this is a stupid question but are they inhaling all the way or at all?

You can follow Rip trippers for good clouds.
Samsung INR 18650 20R batts are good.
I like dual 1/8" holes and direct lung pull for clouds.
I like twisted 30 gauge 3/32" coils.
Dual and quad coils produce well.
My 0.9 ohm dual coil produces good clouds as does my lower resistance coils.
Avoid hard shorts. Fuse or hot spring is handy if hard short occurs.

The EFest 1600mah 30Amp batteries are good, they are just re-wrapped Sony VTC3s.

Or you could just buy Sonys in the first place

Look for US18650VTC4 2100mah 30A....they are light green. Buy from a trusted US vendor. Should be $7-9 a piece.

Also get a high quality charger. I've been recommending the EFest LUC v2 (2-bay) or v4 (4-bay) as they will charge at 2.0Amps. They are safe and high quality. They are $23-35 depending on who has them in-stock in the US.

Thanks glenn i appreciate that....and emus thanks but uhhh can you dumb down some things for me like fuse or hot spring......

Some miss the forest for the trees; very cautious about sub-ohm but not prepared for hard short.

I've experienced hard shorts when atomizer center post touched body due to failed insulator, and ground screw contacted center post.

If mod has a hot spring it will collapse and save batt.

If you use a coin fuse it will blow and protect batt.

If no fuse or hot spring then be careful.

Hi

You asked if the people in the videos inhaled...if you're talking about the intense Pinoy ones, look closely. They aren't vaping in the sense of tasting flavors and quitting smoking, they're engaging in an extreme sport and sometimes they don't look like the actually vaping experience is all that pleasant - it's all about the clouds. 100% vg, filming in an enclosed space and proper lighting makes the clouds look bigger too.

You might want to browse around down in this section where rebuilding and safety info are all in one place. Rebuildable Atomizer Systems

Have fun

MNKE 2600mah 3.7v IMR with 20A max discharge are GREAT batteries. Watch out for knock-offs but that goes for any battery these days.

It's good to have protection in your mechs if you feel you want it but the best safety method it doing your maths. 10 mins on the net hunting down the calculators for safe vaping is a small price to pay for your face and or hands!

I also have a Nibmus (well Chimbus) and I can say the holes in the posts on it are too small to accommodate ribbon wire directly.

I've got a dual coil, 6 wraps on each, with 28g kanthal and it's giving me around 0.4 ohms. Great vape and the battery isn't even getting warm.

Good luck!
