Possibly flavoring, I think I get an effect from blackberry; some flavorings also contain alcohol. I felt crappy if I smoked too much too, so it could be nic. I also wonder if there is some alcohol-like effect, PG and VG are "double alcohols". I'm so sensitive to alcohol I've gotten a buzz and hangover off a single gulp of beer. The effect of PG and VG might even be compared to the fictional "synthehol" from Star Trek, just enough to feel.

    Hi Mike,
I used to get this. A lot, actually, until I really dropped down on the nicotine. It was getting too much nicotine in my blood. I actually felt my chronic pain level drop too! Yes, it worked as a pain reliever... I searched and searched using Google etc. trying to find something on it and finally I actually found an article describing that nicotine may have sedative effects. I never had that effect from smoking, so somehow vaping is a more effective delivery system...

I dropped my nicotine down further, until I finally was at 0.8mg. I planned on sticking with that level for quite a while, because I thought I might be dropping down a bit too fast and thought going to nothing too soon, wouldn't be a good idea...

But, things didn't go as planned, since I had a heart attack a month ago... I did not have any of the typical symptoms (which isn't unusual for women), but called the ER (we have a 2 level ER system in Norway, not just one as in the US. I called the lowest level) to ask for advice, since I felt unsure feeling "real odd" in my body and head, and having pain in my arm. They sent an ambulance and already in my own living room the EKG showed I was having a heart attack and I started having pain too (nice these days when the hospital doc reads the EKG taken in your own home! Cool, really!). I was rushed to the hospital and met by a whole welcome committee and taken straight to the cath lab to have a bit of "plumbing" done... When I got back from the hospital, I cut the nicotine entirely, because it was obvious that the cardiologists did not like me using nicotine at all (at the hospital I vaped nicotine juice in the bathroom, since the heart monitor did not work outside the ward, yes, while waiting for the ambulance, I packed my mod, juice and batteries - never moved around my place as carefully as then, LOL). Also, since I now know I have coronary heart disease, I clearly see that nicotine is a problem, after all, it is a known fact that one of the few problems with nicotine, is it's effects on blood vessels... Now I am vaping nicotine free, with the doc's blessing... I must admit, I have had a few slip-ups now and then, where I drop a few drops of juice with around 0.4mg in it onto my coil and once I even dropped two drops on each coil of a stronger juice I had sitting here (once I actually got chest pain from doing it, made me stop real quickly, I'll tell you - not very nice! I was coughing so hard (I really loved the reaction, my body clearly told me that it wasn't for me anymore, nice! :) ), LOL...

If I were you, I would just drop down my nicotine level. I would drop the 12 mg entirely, just dilute it by adding at least 3 more parts of nicotine free juice (mixed with the same flavors, if it's DIY juice, or just buy the same 0 nice to mix with it). Since you have used 3 mg's, I would try that first again. If you feel this using the 3mg again, it's simply a signal that you can go down even further. I would have dropped to 1.5mg then, if I were you. I at first thought that was going too fast, but it proved to work for me, so it's worth a try... You can always fix it with more nic afterwards, if needed. If you feel that that works and you get enough "vaping effect" out of that, sweet! I mean, nothing is better!

I must say, I had never anticipated this august that I now, a few months later, would be vaping 0 nicotine and be so happy with it. I realize that I really needed an aid like this in order to find a decent and functional way of tapering down the nicotine, avoiding the horrible withdrawal symptoms I have had in the past. Vaping is a fantastic tool to use for that. Tapering down smoking by cutting the number of cigarettes can't be compared. I couldn't have dreamt of getting such a great effect from vaping nico free either. It really gives me many of the same effects I had from smoking cigarettes, e.g. it is very relaxing, almost meditative, if I can put it that way... I just love it! It is fantastic that vaping zero nicotine still gives me the most important effect smoking had for me, the relaxing effect!!! :)

I have a personal assistant that works for me too. She had quit smoking when she started working for me in January, but was about to slip up - felt like smoking again. I let her try one of my mods and she has been using it since and loves it. I mixed her some nicotine free juice and she says the same, she can't believe how relaxing it is, exactly what she missed... :)

    Good luck! :)

Hey guys, I've noticed in the past few weeks or so i've been getting a cloudy head feeling for a while immediately after vaping. I was using 50/50 juice and I thought it was the PG so I changed to 90/10 VG and I am still getting it. I am only using 12mg nic but have noticed it on 3MG with a different juice manufacturer. I can't put my finger on it. It kind of feels like being woken up from a deep sleep or having stayed awake for a couple of days straight. I'm not vaping excessive amounts either, maybe only 5 or 6 puffs at a time on a 1.2OHM SSOCC coil Kanger Toptank mod running at 15W

    Anyone get this?

12mg at 15watts is the same as 3mg at 60watts.

    Only using a Magic formula.

Length of draw alone changes nic intake. Not to mention wicking, Air flow, coil efficiency, etc.

All things being Equal..................then I'd agree.

Did you do an equipment upgrade or Change e-liquid suppliers?
Has your e-liquid supplier change Their Base mix?
Did you have any health issues of note?

To solve a problem always go back to what was working and find what changed.

I've dropped down to 6MG and I don't get the cloudy head feeling now. Rookie mistake switching to a subtank which requires at least 12W. I didn't realize the 12MG was being delivered a lot quicker in bigger doses than the days of vaping 12MG on an iTaste MVP2 at 8 watts. Any of my 12MG juice I have now I will be diluting down to 6MG which I'm vaping around 15W.

Yea, equipment change to a 75W kanger toptank kit from an 11W mod before. Silly me for not realizing I'd need to half my nicotine with the more powerful mod

Sorry to hear about your situation and thank you for the advice. It seems you hit the nail on the head, too much nicotine! I need to be more careful in future, this stuff is not to be messed with!

Thanks a lot, Mike! I think the case is that we often get good absorbtion of nicotine when vaping, since it is absorbed both through the mucous membranes of the mouth/nose and lungs, and it is easy to underestimate. Also there are so many factors playing in, from what kind of atomizer (or atty head) we're using to coil resistance as well as voltage/wattage/temperature. For that reason we need to listen to our bodies and adjust. I think it is great to DIY the liquids, in that way it is easy to customize the strength used to our own need and use. And, while it is great to transition to vaping instead of smoking, for the simple reason that we get rid of all those other substances that are so carcinogenic etc., we should not forget that also nicotine is a substance that may have negative health effects, even if it in general is a lot better than tar, arsenic, aldehydes etc., it may have negative effects on our hearts and blood vessels in the body. And, it is for darn sure that the minute one knows about heart disease, it is better to taper the nicotine down, preferably to zero. But again, of course it is a balance, as the worst that may happen is if we end out turning to smoke again. Nothing is worse than that, but ideally, vaping zero nic is the solution - at least eventually... For me I'm real sure of one thing, that is that it is better vaping zero nic than not vaping. It really helps and is very relaxing, I think. I know that not vaping puts me in the danger of feeling like smoking again and that is something I want to make sure I never do again! To not feel that the liquid is too "plain", I make sure to add enough flavoring, and also I add koolada or a bit of menthol to give it a bit of kick, since it may seem a bit "tame", if you get my drift, with zero nicotine. Also, when going to zero, you may consider upping your PG content a little, since it does provide some throat hit, which the nicotine also contributes to.

Sorry to hear about your situation and thank you for the advice. It seems you hit the nail on the head, too much nicotine! I need to be more careful in future, this stuff is not to be messed with!

I've started to get this again today even on 6MG. I went outside a couple of times in work today for vape breaks and the last time I went out I had a little too many puffs. I usually take 9 or 10 mouth to lung hits then one big lung hit before I come back inside, just to kill the craving. Right after the lung hit I started to get pressure around my sinus area and what I can only describe as a "Fuzzy" head feeling and my focus is ever so slightly off. I have to keep questioning why I am doing this to myself but I have been addicted to nicotine for nearly 20 years and it's so, so hard to stop. I think after all the anxiety I went through last year, my body is highly sensitive to nicotine now.

Where in NY are you? Do you have seasonal allergies? What was the weather like when you were outside vaping?

Stuff should be getting ready to pop out of the ground around now, and you could be reacting to that. You may also be reacting to weather changes - I tend to have a terrible time with my sinuses when the weather changes. If I do not treat a sinus headache in time, it will develop into a full-blown migraine. I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, and I know what the pollution from cars, truck, buses, etc., can do. If there is heavy traffic where you are vaping when on breaks, that could possibly contribute.

I really hope you can find a solution to your problems.

I am in NYC and yesterday when this happened it was sunny outside and really nice. I know it's vaping doing it. It happens right after vaping too much like almost an instantaneous reaction. The only thing I can think of is to limit myself to 2 or 3 lung hits at a time as not to go overboard. When I have a few beers I can chain vape 6MG or 12MG with no issues oddly. Failing that I'll have to drop down to 3MG and try that at 15W or so. Something in the juice is not agreeing with me and I have tried multiple kinds at different ratios. It's just so odd cause in 2014 I vaped religiously on 12MG 50/50 at around 8W and I never ever had a symptom. I love vaping, but I'll have to just stop if I can't get rid of this. The underlying cause is probably anxiety or some sort of allergic reaction or something. Last year I had a lot going on in my life and developed severe anxiety, panic attacks and feeling like my surroundings weren't real like in a constant brain fog. It started when I was vaping, but I was always vaping back then so I can't say for sure if vaping too much nic was the trigger point. I guess I'm one of the small percentage of unlucky ones.
