I was at a local shop the other night and a guy in there had a sweet set up, a black Cloupor mini with a black tugboat on top. It was really stealthy. He let me check it out and it felt really nice and balanced, and looked great. But when I left, I looked up the cloupor mini to see if there had been any updates about the whole melt down issue, and noticed that all the models shown have silver buttons.

This one I handled had black buttons, that matched the finish of the rest of the unit.

Anyone seen one like that? Is this a new version or something?

I'm not familiar with the Cloupor Mini, but I think it's worth mentioning that rolygate recently posted about a Cloupor Mini recall. It seems that the device tends to catch fire.

Here are links to both rolygate's post and a thread about the fire issue:

Point of clarification, there has not been a manufacturer's recall on the Cloupor Mini. Some vendors are being cautious but most of us owners have not had issues. Cloupor issued the following "test" to determine if you have an affected unit:

To test your unit, set to 30 watts, attach atomizer and fire for 15 seconds. If the display does not show "Too Hot" message after doing this once, you have a good unit.

To the OP's question, I have not seen Mini's with black buttons...that would interest me if they are available. Mine passed the "test" and does not get hot. That said, I pull the battery when it's not in use.

Check out the Sigelei mini 30w so that you don't burn your house down!

My two call!
Show or Fold
:)

In case you haven't noticed............ Reports of MELTING(not actual burning) have dwindled to nothing. i.e. an issue that has been in all likelihood - corrected. No known failures outside a Few in Batch 0002:facepalm:

Less you forget, Sigelei had fits with the 50w and ended up releasing a v2 to save face. Seems failures are not vendor specific. :D

While I appreciate the warning, It's impossible to read a single thread without warnings about the fire issue. There's no reason to turn this into another debate about the "recall". I've read all about it, and I was just hoping to find out if others had come across all black versions. I actually wondered if this was a way to tell if it was a newer version or something. The all black looked fantastic.
