Hey all. Started having a problem and hoping someone might offer some help or suggestions.
As title says, I picked up the Cloupor ZNA 50 in early December and have really been liking it. A month or so after getting a Freakshow dripper, the fire button on the ZNA got stuck. At first I thought something broke, but now I am thinking it may just be gunked up from using the dripper since I can fiddle with it and get it working for a while before it stops working again. I was able to find an older thread here where the disassembly was discussed with pictures. But the poster, I believe it was Drifter, said the process was rather difficult and would not recommend it, even indicating he would not attempt it again. Now I find myself with about 3 options (in no particular order):
1. It is still under warranty and I could send it in for repair. But my concerns are the "down time" without it (not a huge problem as I also have a sigelei 100W Plus) and the possibility that if it is gunked up ("user error"), there might be an unknown charge for the repair, an amount unknown until it is repaired. That plus shipping charges may be an option breaker.
2. Just keep on doing as I am now, using it until it stops working and then removing the battery and topper and quickly rocking the "lever" back and forth quickly until it starts working again. I also might ask, since when dry burning the dripper does get warmer around the top and fire button, doing that on a regular basis before "rocking the lever"?
3. And this is my main question. Is there a way to try a cleaning of possible gunk without disassembling or a high risk of damaging the ZNA? The brains of the mod seem to obviously be right on the backside of the firing button.
The retailer I bought it from said they would be glad to take a look at it and possibly work out an exchange for a different mod, but that would require a round trip of 200+ miles, a whole day which, even though I am retired does have a cost associated with it. And there are few if any other options for a cylindrical regulated mod that will fire an Atlantis or Kanger ST.
So, after all my long winded thoughts, my gut says to cut my losses and keep fiddling with it and hope it magically gets better. But I was hoping one of you vastly more experienced vapers might know of some magical potion or voodoo that might work.
Thanks in advance for any and all help or suggestions.
And, FWIW, I might add that I think my abbreviated days of dripping have come to an abrupt halt.
