Now every time I yawn I can hear the ocean in my throat!
J/K but on a serious note...Many years ago I had a real problem with clove cigarettes, I never coughed up blood ,but I constantly coughed (much more than with reg Cigarettes) It seamed as though I always had a sore throat and the only thing that made it feel better was another clove smoke. I haven't smoked them in probably close to 20 years...But Dayum,I still miss that taste!

I smoked Djarum Clove cigarettes for 3 years (pack and a half per day). Seemed to me I had a double dose of morning smokers phlegm when I switched to those, but miss the flavor, I might give that Janty Clove liquid a try.

I smoked only cloves for 20+ years; I've heard repeatedly that I'd cough up blood or similar heinous tales - never once happened and I started with the unfiltered Djarums.
I've been strictly eCig for *just* about a month, and the closest appealing taste I've found has been a combination of vanilla and the clove from PureSmoker.
I just re-ordered juice, and since PureSmoker was out of vanilla, I opted to try Janty's version since I could get both.
I'll report after the initial tweaking is done.

Reading this thread made me remember my high school days when I smoked a clove here and there, and I'd really like to get that experience in an ecig every now and then too, so I went to my favorite DIY supply site, Mountain Rose Herbs | Bulk organic herbs, spices & essential oils and searched for clove stuff. They've got powders and other forms, but are out of essential oil at the moment, but I'm about to notify them that they're out and that I would like some, so hopefully they'll restock it soon.

Anyway, here's their page explaining a lot of info about clove bud essential oil.

Clove Bud Essential Oil

I might could buy some powder or whole cloves and dissolve in some alcohol. I may try that and DIY some clove juice if they don't stock the essential oil again real soon. Thanks for rehashing good memories of cloves and giving me another DIY project to attempt. :)

8-o After reading all of the cons of cloves, I have decided to dump the recent batch I made into the drain. What a shame. The mix actually came out good too! Very cloase to a Djarim Black. Smoking it out of a black 510 just seemed perfect too.

In case anyone still wants to proceed... I used Lorann's clove flavoring and added about 20 drops into a 10ml bottle of ejuice.

Oh good grief. Especially if people are just using things like Lorann's flavorings there is no way this is going to make you cough up a lung or something.

I am sure everyone is different so I cannot say that with certainty, but my wife has horrible allergies, and she smoked Djarum BLACKS for 10+ years - no problems. She had a rough time smoking regular ciggies becuz of her allergies. Go figure.

I probably wouldn't go using pure clove OIL or essential oils as it might get a little heavy in your lungs, but standard cut flavorings from Loranns would surely be fine. I may try it when I'm able.

Take care,
- Hap

I am not fearing the loss of a lung. The Djarim's can do a good job of that. Ok that's an exageration but it sure does something series to my lungs. The Lorann mix is definitely safer by far. I'm just trying to bring very little into my lungs, hence the e-cig, and the clove is a bit stronger than my personal preference.

I just wanted to make it clear that the recipe was successful. It took a second to overcome the oddity of smoking a clove again but after that, I vaped all day with it. Also note, it does scent the air with a good hint of clove so don't expect to hide it while smoking in your office or public for that matter.
