Okay so if anyone reading this has some simple suggestions… I just got and Ego type "kit" from the local B&M. (an upgrade from my G6, which I love but was getting annoyed at losing flavor from my cartomizers). It's basic, no name, no variable-voltage, 650mah. it came with a clearomizer that I googled to find out is called a CE4. I thought this would make my vapeing "experience" more enjoyable and simplistic. Ugghhh!!!! Not even!! my first problem was I had no clue what to do w/the manual type battery. Once I kinda sorta figured that out, I am now having a worse problem.
I keep getting nasty burnt dry hits!!
I've done some googling, and understand that I need to keep the wicks saturated. I'm using 70/30 pg for the most part, along w/Halo liquid but the viscosity is similar. I've tried some "tips" I've seen thru you/tube, so, for now I've resorted to, flipping, twirling, praying, push the button, drag, release, brace myself, inhale, one more quick prayer, exhale… and even then it's still a 50/50 shot of having a nice, unburnt taste vs. metallic, melted plastic.
So now, any advice, tips, suggestions, on what I could be doing wrong? if if is not operator error, any recommendations on any clearomizer type tank that is virtually dry, burnt hit proof, that is not huge and gi-normous, and fairly inexpensive?

Stardust CE4 disposable tanks with screw on tips, right? If they aren't disposable, they aren't a CE4. Ce4's resemble an iClear 16 ALOT! I use the CE4 at this time, and I don't have any problems at all. I use a store bought juice and a DIY mix of two store bought juices with no PG/VG addies. I just posted a new thread, What I did today, that explains my rig. I'm new to this and my rig was a complete set-up from the supplier, battery's, charger, CE4 tanks and juices. The burnt plastic taste leads me to believe you're having a problem with the small white seal at the top of the tube that the drip tip seats on to seal the tank from the center tube. Either that or your battery is running way too hot.

Kanger T3s..I hate those ce4s..u can get a t3s for around 10$ & then a 5 pack of coils for 8$

Cool, I just checked them out. I see they have the wicks in the center which I haven't seen before... Will definitely give them a shot. Wondering if they are considered "top coil" still? And yes, I did see some reviews talking about the plastic thing squishing too tight. Maybe I'll have to do some surgery on this thing. lol

The T3's have different heads than the protanks but the protank heads fit a variety of other attys. You have much more adaptability with protanks with different sized tanks and being glass they won't crack like the plastic tanks of the T3's with some juices. I've been happy with my protanks and have my T3's sitting empty on the shelf prolly not to be used again.

Yea, it's disposable, that I know. since I got it locally, I'm not quite sure if it's a "stardust" but it sounds like the one you are describing. I will see if I can find your post… Do you have to tip yours over and twirl it and whatnot, to keep the wicks wet??

Nope. Well, if the level gets low, I do that just to make sure I don't get a dry hit. :)

I bought two Kanger EVOD2's. My experience was bad with them. Loose drip tips, leaky and almost no vape. I'm going to look into the iClear 16D's.
