Hello @Stephanie Harper and welcome to the forum. There's about 1000 different entry level vapes to recommend. I started on a cheap gas station blister pack 650 mah (mah is battery life before recharging) and a very cheap CE5 tank (really old technology). After about 4 upgrades I found the Nautilus Mini tank and it turned out to be my confidence that I had the stinkys beat.

I generally recommend the iStick 30 watt and Nautilus Mini as excellent starter gear for the beginner. Both are user friendly and have a great track record.

Below is my beginning vape journey, far left CE5 on 650 mah, battery life wasn't enough and I kept buying more. Ugh. Center is Spinner 2 1600 mah (bought for battery life) with the Nautilus Mini. Far right is the iStick 50W (4400 mah) and Nautilus Mini (the Nautilus really shines on a mod where you can dial in the power to increase the flavor profile of the juice).

iStick 30 w ($30)and Nautilus Mini($25 + 5 pack spare coils $10) plus juice. This is probably the most recommended starter kit I've seen on ECF.

iStick also has a 40 watt mod for about the same price as the 30w and it's the same size. The 40 watt has a function called temperature control where the mod reads the temp of the coils and shuts off if it gets too hot, protecting the user from a dry hit. It's not necessary to use the function as it takes special coils, but it's a nice feature to have and is the new thing as far as technology is concerned.

Being a holiday weekend there are lots of sales being advertised in the top link below, I'd recommend browsing there :
DEALS and STEALS - Deals and Steals | E-Cigarette Forum (go to last couple pages)
FORUM SUPPLIERS - ECF Forum Suppliers | E-Cigarette Forum
COUPONS - Stores - ECF E-Cigarette Coupons

Having a budget in mind would help others give proper advice. Good luck in your vape journey.

Welcome! Glad you are here ---- There are many good devices on which to start with. I usually point people to the Kangertech subox mini kit --- Others will suggest the IStick 30Watt device and the Aspire Nautilus tank...... Many choices out there for sure. I am sure others will be along to provide links. Good luck.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Several you can choose from. Kanger Subox Mini includes tank, but you would need to purchase batteries and a charger.
Eleaf istick 30w you would need to get a tank, maybe an Aspire Nautilus with that one.

Lots to go with and others will have more suggestions, glad your here and good luck on making the step to vaping.

Full kit just need add liquid - Joyetech Evic VT Full Kit, about 60USD online cheapest I've seen, internal battery and charger and comes with a tank, just need liquid.
Piece together - Eleaf iStick30watt or iStick50watt with an Aspire Nautilus Mini, about 70ish USD for both, internal battery and great tank, with juice about 80ish to 95ish.

Good morning and welcome, Ms. Harper.

You have arrived here precisely as I did, wanting to quit, and clueless.

Don't be surprised if loads of people jump in to tell you to buy the latest, greatest,
most technologically advanced ___________. (what they like). How about you first tell us a little more about what YOU want in terms of price range, your soon-to-be-past smoking habits. Then maybe we can suggest what is apt to be most useful.

We were just joking around with each other @Stephanie Harper. No harm or rudeness intended. We both help out newbies quite a bit and break up the monotony by messing with each other. My apologies for doing this in your thread. The suggestions that we both offered are solid suggestions and again, good luck.

    Hi @Stephanie Harper

Vaping has gone stratospheric (in the hardware race) recently.

People are now talking about devices I would not use, ever as beginner kit.

You can go and buy the Chinese Ferrari of the vaping world, or just do the sensible thing.

... which at the moment is probably an iStick 30w (the 20w is powerful enough but unreliable) and a nice mouth-to-lung tank.

What @AXIOM_1 is trying to remind us all is there are "brands" out there you don't want to shop at, unless you have a masochistic desire to hurt your bank balance.

I can name 7 or 8 brands which will happily charge you double or triple for exactly the same hardware as available elsewhere.

That is the current "market" in vaping products. Please avoid these brands. Please. :)

Stephanie, I was clueless just as you were when I first arrived here. After lots of reading about different things available (you can go so many ways with this) I came to the conclusion that the best for me to start out with was the Istick 30 watt paired with a Nautilus mini tank. I got both for around 40 dollars. I'm still using this set up and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Very user friendly and delivers everything I need to keep me off cigarettes for good. Once you get into it a little more you'll see so many things that you want to try and add to your arsenal. That's where I'm at now but for the time being my little Istick and Nauti are wonderful devices.

I knew I'd found something I could continue using successfully when I got a Twist battery and a Protank II. I'm eighteen months past that now so those are old technology. It sounds like the Nautilus and a Spinner are about the same, but the iTaste 30W is probably better able to express the Nautilus's capabilities.

You should also consider what you will do while the battery is charging. Will you always be somewhere you can charge it? I would recommend you buy two batteries and maybe two tanks, even if the spares are less capable than your main ones. So long as they are enough to stop you smoking in that emergency, they will be good enough.
