i went 1.2mm (1.18 actually) kept some resistance but opened up the vapor production nicely. i have a second cap i went 1.3 and works like a charm but too loose for me, i like a touch of resistance.

just start small and go up slowly. drill test for a day, drill test etc.

i also noticed the same coil seems to handle slightly more voltage once i opened it up, also helping produce more vapor.

I concur with thrasher, go slow. I used a tapered diamond bit in a Dremel and just went a little more each time on my chobra. I think the tapered hole may actually add a Venturi effect and help direct the air at higher speed with normal draws. The outside of the hole is about 1.3, the inside is probably 1.2mm. It works well for puffs or lung hits, which is just what I wanted. Good luck!
