81 days and I haven't smoked a cigarette.Woohoo!

I just went and had my teeth cleaned. My teeth and gums looked so much better than the first time my dentist saw me 6 months ago (nasty brown and black tar stains, ect...)
But I still had a little staining, mainly from coffee and tea. I have decided to give up regular tea. I'm looking for some kind of all-day clear drink (water for now, but how boring!)
My hygienist said I should drink coffee (4 cups a morning) through a straw. Thinking about that one, might have to let it cool though.

The only other thing I do that could possibly stain teeth is vaping. So I decided I won't vape dark liquids (after these are gone, heh) and no sweetener either. Sugar can cause bacterial growth so you don't want that either. Yes, I know PG has some germicidal capabilities. But why chance it? .

But what about PH? Has anyone ever tested the PH of ejuice? You want something around a PH of 7 (neutral like water). If it's acidic than it can erode tooth enamel. Does Nic have a bad PH? I doubt ejuice vendors test for such things. I'm not sure you could do anything about it anyway. But inquiring minds want to know!

Just trying to cut down on things that stain and erode teeth.

I recently had my 4th cleaning since I stopped smoking ( I go every 6 months). My Dentist and hygienist are both happy since not only are my teeth cleaner but my gums are healthier. I vape and drink both coffee and tea daily so my Dentist recommended that I use either an Oral B or Sonic toothbrush plus Listerine Total Care mouthwash. This has kept my teeth from staining badly between cleanings. He did say to avoid pop if possible since it erodes tooth enamel.

On my last visit I specifically asked about coffee and tea. My Dentist said they were fine as long as I did not use lots of sugar (I use Splenda, so no problems) and that if I wanted a dark tea alternative to drink green tea.

As an FYI: Glycerol is sweet but does not feed the bacteria which causes plaque or dental caries. Also, many tooth whitening products contain propylene glycol.

E-cigs are definitely causing staining on the inner surfaces of my teeth--and it's beginning to wrap around to the front! I'm upset about this! I was a non-smoker before, but now I vape non-stop all day, every day. I'm getting a cleaning next week, and just hope they can get these stains out! I'm also switching to only clear liquids, but if I don't see a change I'm just going to have to quit vaping. I HATE that idea because I have come to enjoy it soooo much! Anybody know of any good CLEAR liquids to try? I like the fruity ones. I have been using some dark liquids....but no more!
