hi all

need some advice on what coil to build for my first real rba build

Ive got 28,26,24 and 21 G kanthal--to be used on a Magma rba with a IPV2 50 watt device.

I want to scale into this a little slowly --so what would be a nice first build to get around .9 to 1.1 ohms.--dual or single coil- how many wraps
then assuming I can get that resistance-- what sort of wattage should i start at and how high should I attempt to go

thanks

OK first the soap box speech. Sorry! For rebuilding you need a good working knowledge of ohms law. Practice battery safety, using the proper battery and not over charging or exceeding it's designed limit. Use locks on mechs and the lock or off feature on V mods. Ok off the soap box. Magma has deep wells so I'd go with a 3mm inside diameter dual coils and here is the calculator to figure out how many turns to get the resistance you want. Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

I would not go less than 6 turns or more than 10. So if you use 28 gauge using the link above that would be 10 wraps. FYI the more wraps the longer it takes to heat up so you may want to lower the resistance some or get some 30 gauge wire. Also the coils heat from the center and if the coil gets to long you can end up burning the wick in the center of the coil if it gets big.

Steve has given you some great advice. Minor correction, a Magma is a RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer), sometimes referred to as a "dripper". So if you want to "scale into this a little slowly" then I suggest you start with a single coil build. Get comfortable with the procedure, try a few different builds on your Magma to see how they may effect flavor and or vapor. After this it's time to go dual coil.

Good luck
:)
