Coil Build Progression

Hey I consider myself fairly new at building coils. I have a couple of clone RDAs and I have been experimenting with builds. I'm using a mechanical mod also. No kick
My latest is a 32ga w/12 wraps each @ .90ohms. I did this on the largest sewing needle in my GFs sewing kit. I would estimate it to me around the same size as the M4 allen wrench that comes with those clone RDAs.

I didn't even try to run the cotton through, but just over-lapped it and man, that build hits like a BEAST!
I'm also considering using a machine screw around M4 if I can find one long enough.

Any ideas on a good jig would also help. I made one with a small drill and small file handle. Works OK

Any ideas for where I could find some long M4s or any suggestions for better builds would be welcome.

Tyvm Slobalt..I will order some and try that build. I think they would wrap better with whatever gauge I use. 28 or 32.

I have been RCing for years and have several M4x30MM lying around, it works with my 32 and 30G but not my 24(wire is too fat for the threads) tomorrow I will try with some 28 I just got from a friend and let you know if it will fit.

I did this one last night before bed. It's 1 ohm.
8 turns. 28G .063 diameter.



I turned both ends of the wick under it and pack it all under the coil. The flavor is pretty strong. It lasts about 2-3 pulls.

I'll wind my next one on a screw and compare.

I made my legs longer, but no..it can't be touching the post or it would have shorted.

Lol, yeah that's why i was asking... i was looking at that like oh man i hope he didn't just go and throw that on a mod and push the button!

Nope. Just the angle.

I have a checker and I fire them on a protected unit first. Once they are wicked and check OK. They go on the mech.

Now if I could find a great juice that would make me do this...

I would be so very happy. These coils make the mediocre juices much nicer but I want something as close to perfection
as I can get. Inewara, a Polish company looks promising.
If they are all they are cracked up to be, they should do just fine.

Finally got SB off her phone to take a couple pics for me. Yeah, I got a woman off the **** phone. lol

Used the M4 allen wrench to illustrate the coils size. 12 wraps X 2 @ .90ohms

Rewicking:

I overlap the cotton and make sure the coils ends are open.
These coils kick a**!
