hey guys i need your help. I built a coil today with vaportech ni80 24 awg, dual parallel coil build. 7 wraps around a 3mm.

i checked the resistance and it reads 0.11 ohms. but after pulsing suddenly it reads .30 ohms. this bugs be as now Im not sure what the actual resistance of my coils are, and maybe my ohm meter is faulty.

I tried firing it a bit and it made several consecutive pop sound when i take a hit.

my question is does anybody have any idea what the resistance of this build is? and what causes the pop. I dont dare to vape on it because im using mechs.

Not entirely sure, but it sounds possible that one of your coil legs isn't screwed down completely, that's what I'm thinking when I see that wildly fluctuating resistance. Some coils resistance will change after heating (SS I'm thinking mainly) but not to that degree. I would try recoiling it and see what happens, and no, I wouldn't vape that on a mech, not until you've gotten a stable resistance coil.

Good luck, others may be along with more answers for you.
