I'd love to get one of these... I'm not too safe when it comes to coil building, and this looks cool enough to where I would use it! The price is great too. So sick of all the same ohm readers with some other companies branding on it. Been burned too many times before with these and I'll never buy one again.

Whoa.. just checked my tracking and here I see this:

Your item has been processed through our sort facility in ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) at 12:40 pm on September 6, 2015.

Dang.. didn't even think it boarded the boat yet.

Says it will be here (I'll be shocked cause I can't remember the last time usps was right) friday!

Edit.. was mailed on the 3rd.

Somewhere out there
www.youtube.com
I've seen a few fellow reviewers to videos on them. It looks good, does plenty from voltage drop of a mod, pulsing coils and such. I just use a tenderfoot stand to build on. A nice circle of wood to work on haha.

The thing I hate about this is, the 521 looks exactly like the Burning Tab Master. Just different colors.

I'm surprised though, no one linked to Super_X's video yet

Thank you Danny! I've had mine since August 28. It's been operating as designed and as expected. I've used it to build and fire 1/2 a dozen attys. No complaints about it. One of the most useful tools in my rebuilding kit.

I have read multiple complaints about poor threading that were resolved by the user screwing and unscrewing a less cherished atomizer into the 510.

Additionally, as mentioned above by others, Coil Master is replacing these units. Mine happened to be fine, at least with the atomizers I've screwed to it - hastur, stumpy, thump, M-Atty.

Additionally I have heard that the product has taken longer than expected to receive form people and that CM had not responded to their emails of concern.

I offer that if you find yourself in a situation where you are not getting the support you deserve from CM, I can reach out to them thru my channels to alert them from a second means.

Now that I realize that these just began to ship to the public a little over a week ago, there were prolly hundreds shipped and they realized and are righting a QC issue, I'd say that it's prolly no reason for concern if you haven't received yours yet. These guys seem to understand that CS means a lot to us.

I'm looking at getting one soon. Hope there's no problems with the 510 threading. Nice to know CM is replacing them at no charge, and that you offer another helping hand in support in case other options fail. :) If the units are coming from China, and they are shipped WITHOUT Batteries - there shouldn't be to long of a wait. But if QC is checking each package, and finding Batteries... it could delay shipping for long, long time. (Insert female Chinese voice for "long, long time".)

Main "issue" I've seen with mine so far is the test leads are made from el cheapo quality components. Plastic shields on the plug end pulls loose when trying to pull the plugs back out... and the alligator clips are very weak making it hard to get a good reading if checking a length of Kanthal or wrapped coil for their resistance. They do grab the wire good enough to prefire Kanthal wire to anneal it or dry burn a wrapped coil though. I don't see ever using the voltage adapter to check batts or voltage drop. Do like the USB cable to recharge the batt... short at about 6" but perfect for my uses since I have a large USB hub that is very handy on my computer desk to plug the Tab into. While the Tab can be used as a "batt device" to vape with... I don't see that as a selling point. Maybe someone would want to try out a new build after they dry burned and wicked I guess. I don't drip anymore, and my "box" mods are Reos. With a longer USB cable it might be able to use it as a pass thru. But if I really wanted a pass thru I have several to choose from on hand that I'd bet one or more could be adapted to one of my Reo's fairly easily if my work shop was still set up.

So for me anyway it could be a build deck (after I add something to the bottom so it doesn't slide all over the place); will be used to check a builds ohms and to pulse fire the coil before putting the atty on a Reo. A 3D Fire from USA Meters would do for me as well. But at more than double the cost (plus shipping I assume) I'll try this one from China (where all my old $20-$25 atty ohm meters were made).

I'm not a fan of supporting Chinese MFG's and do have issues with branded clones. Why I bought so much authentic high end European gear before I found Reos. But there are some US MFG's in this business I consider far worse than supporting China, US MFG's that I'd never support again.

My problem is the only older uncherished atty's I have screw onto it perfectly. My cherished atty's don't. But there's a replacement on its way to me. On its way unprovoked - I didn't even receive the first when they alerted me a new one was on its way (with no explanation as to why but I assume this is why)

The cs I have experienced is amazing from cm. Very excited for the replacement :)

Most of use will be mounting bottom fed attys on the 510 connection, and that means a possibility of juice leaking through the center pin hole into the connection.

Is this 521 connection leak proof? Can juice leak down inside the 510 connection and ruin the electronics? (This happened to me with just a regular, cheap $14 ohm meter)

Dang. I probably won't be buying this then. Any one know if a really small volt meter?
My others are quite small in comparison at less than 70mm X 50mm X 20mm... the ones commonly sold in days of yore 2+ years ago. I even still have one that has never been used - a backup I just never needed.

The thing uses a 18650 battery to operate.. don't it show you the battery level of it?
That only shows as a symbol..."how full", not what the actual voltage output remaining is.

So did anyone else pick up a Coil Master 521 Tab on the preorder?

It's like a brick at about 85mm X 70mm X 50mm. It has features I would use, has others I wouldn't, but overall worth the price of admission for a new toy to play with. Final opinion after I've played with it more...

Seriously? I will pass on this one....just too many toys for vaping.

Got mine today.. even came a day early haha.. shocking.

Anyways no time to play with it. Only slapped a atty on it to test. Yes the threads are fine on mine.

Also yes they should of put rubber feet on this thing so I'll be fixing that later on when I get a chance.. I'm sure I have some small rubber speaker feet around or some other bumper/feet.
