Didn't quite like it when I first got it but maybe I was not doing it right. I tried it again last week and got some nice looking coils in 26 and 28 AWG. The 30 and 32 still don't work too good - the wire tends to overlap on itself.

I have them and love them. I only have two minor complaints:

1. The different rods aren't labeled with their size. Easily corrected with a label maker, but annoying nonetheless.
.

I have the original coil master and as you say the rods are not labeled but I think they are on the Coil Master V3. I watched a Busardo review about it the other day. The V3 also comes with a much longer rod. Busardo was turning an tight coil into a spaced coil just by pulling it slightly while it was still on the rod. Made it look so easy and neat. Of course the rod on the V1 is too short for that. I generally wind my coils free hand but my trials last week with the 28 and 26 were very satisfactory.

How are the sizes compared to drill bits. Is 20 a 2mm drill size

Yes. The V1 and V2 coil master come with 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 mm rods. The V3 comes with 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 mm rods. As hurricanegirl100 noted in her post above, the newer versions (V2 and V3) are labeled with the sizes, the V1 was not.

Never used a coil jig before but wanted to make life a bit easyer so I just ordered this UD coiler. Hope it works well.

Looking forward to hearing how it does!
