I've searched, and searched, and searched some more - but I haven't really found a solid answer to my questions.

I currently used an MVP 2.0 as my primary PV, with an aerotank on top. With the aerotank, I purchased a bunch of extra coils..The coils were not all the same resistance - I have 1.5 ohm coils, 1.8's, and 2.0's. I think (correct me if I am wrong) I understand the basic principles of ohm law from researching mechanical mods and coil builds. The lower resistance the coil is (on a mech), the more juice you are sucking out of your better, and then getting better vapor in return. For mechs, the way you control voltage or wattage (to an extent), is how you control your current and power.

Now my question is how does this apply to a VV, VW device like my mvp? I usually use only higher VG juice since I am PG sensitve, so wicking and burnt hits is something I am always trying to avoid. In my aerotank, on the MVP, with a 1.5 ohm coil - My 80/20 VG/PG juice required 4.9-5.0v in order to get the juice firing properly. When it does fire at this level, the vapor and flavor are not bad at all. I haven't really had the time to experiment with the other coils yet..So what is the difference between resistance levels on a VV/VW such as the MVP? Which one would typically be "better" to use on a regular basis? I usually enjoy a warm vape, and love to have lots of vapor and flavor (..don't we all?)..I just can't seem to find the information that has helped illuminate coil resistance on variable devices.

I realize this is a total n00b question - Stuff like this just usually takes me some time to fully understand.

And I do apologize! I know this question has been asked a billion times before!

1.5ohm coils would be the best to use, as it allows for full range of use on the MVP.

using ohms law and knowing the max amp output for the mvp is 3.5A, i was able to do the math and reach the "lowest ohm" capable of firing at 5V(mvp's max) before it hits the 3.5 limit.

1.5ohms at 5V = 3.33333amps
1.4ohms at 5V = 3.57143amps - here it is OVER the limit of the MVP and the MVP will fire it at 4.9V even though the screen reads 5V

I agree with the above post. In order to get full range of power on the MVP you want to use a resistance of 1.5 to 1.8. I use a resistance of ~1.7 to ~1.8 in my RBA/RDA on my MVP and it works well. Too low and you hit the amp limit and drain your battery faster.

Visit this website and check out some of its features and familiarize yourself with the "ohms law" calculator and the "mod range" calculator.
