So lately my coils start to climb. I build it close to the deck. After a couple hours its raised to the point the whole coil is above the air hole. So I push it back down. And in a couple hours its raised again. I have checked and double checked my screws. They are tight. My wire isn't melted. The build is a .7 and I am using the new contacts. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas of why its happening? I assume its the heat making the legs curl. I just haven't seen this happen before. It had only happened since the new contacts were put in.

Yes I experienced that. It was when I didn't anneal the Kanthal before wrapping the coil. It would happen overnight.

I've since went back to annealing by unfurling about 5" from the spool of Kanthal, torching it, them attaching the free end to the coiling gizmo and winding the coil.

They haven't moved since. :)

Are you using super thin wire? Like 30G or 32G? If so, are you using high VG juice? The only thing that I could think of is that maybe the juice is pushing the coil up when you squonk, especially if you are using high gauge wire and exploding up through the squonk hole.

Edit: I assumed you knew how to build coils properly. Always anneal. If you already do, my comment may still hold some clout.
