Is it possible to wrap a micro coil so tight that it will reduce the ohm reading? Because I wrapped a 28 guage coil with a 1.98mm ID 12 wraps in hopes of getting around 1.4-1.6. I finally got butane for my torch so I used it for the first time and the coil of course came out super close together and to my surprise it reads .8 ohm lol ...? 12 wraps 28 AWG kanthal A-1 5/64 bit/1.98mm. Its supposed to be double that isnt it? Once I used tweezers to spread it a little bit the ohm reading increased to 1.18. Is this normal ?

.8? I would say check connections or batts in whatever you using to read ohms.

Ok so somethings definitely wrong, no matter how tight the coils are together at the end of the day 12 28g wraps around 5/64 should be close to the same, whether the coils are tight or extremely tight, and much higher than .8?
