anyone ever try these out? the ni80 pack?
they look awesome and I was thinking about grabbing two packs, just wondering if anyone has tried them.

I got a pack of the ni80 coils a couple months ago and they performed well but did require lots of pulsing and strumming to work out hot spots. I think the only ones i have used so far (at least mostly) are the tri-core fused clapton 3-26/36 ni80 for single coil mech squonkers. I now have a ton of SS from AVS that will be replacing the ni80 builds in my mech squonks (already using the SS in my regulated squonks for TC) as needed. If I ever go back to using rta again I imagine the other higher ohm coils in that kit should work well for those toppers.

I don't think you can go wrong for the money. 42 pretty nice coils for $14.

I've only tried two of them so far, I bought the SS. Can't remember which ones I tried, but they are all nice, clean looking coils for mass produced coils. I will buy them again.

The Geekvape kit is also a pretty nice coil assortment, but think it's only 20 coils for about the same price. Again, only tried a few coils out of it so far. I really enjoy the alpha-braid coils from the Geekvape kit and have ordered them by themselves as well.

For the money, I think you will find the Coilology assortment a worthwhile investment.

cool thanks for the info. now im thinking about going with the SS instead...maybe ill buy one ni80 and one ss.

is there any point in using SS if im only using power mode?

sure, you can get lower resistance with the same coil/gauge build, some say the flavor from ss coils is better, etc. There are probably other reasons I am forgetting. a lot of the youtube review guys that squonk a lot that I watch run ss on mechs so they can get lower ohm builds out of a single coil build. All my mech squonks still have the ni80 coilogy builds in them right now but once they need to be changed I will be trying the AVS SS premade coils I bought in them to see if I prefer SS on single battery mech squonks.
