Coils and Ohms

Hey guys new to this whole rebuild setup and as I have watched a lot of videos and have read what I could find I am still very confused about two aspects.

1. how do you know how many wraps to determine your ohms, is spacing important for ohm purposes not not hot spots. What are the advantages to micro coils vs wraps?

2. If you using a mech mod how do you know what coil or wrap is best for that battery or mod, or does your battery just give what is needed to power each wrap or coil vs a vv or vw. All help Appreciated.

Not sure if this post should be here but,you might want to read how I am learning to rebuild the coils. for me it has been a hit and miss affair but I think I just might have hit the sweet spot.

as to your first question you might want to get the Kanthal wrap calculator created by a forum member on here, link below.

as to the second, I have been of late only using AVP's but am waiting for my first Nemesis clone from fasttech(LOL) along with a Russian 91%. The youtube videos are filled with tons of tut's on how to coil which have helped me. Just do a search, there are way too many out there.

1.. Like hazewitch recommended the link for the kanthal coil calculator.
2. NOOOOOOO.. The battery will blow upin your face if you get it wrong. Its best to build and test the ohms. ome batteries can handle low ohms, some cant. sub-ohm area of vaping can be dangerous if you arent familiar with ohms, watts, power, amps, and batteries. You have zero protection from a mechanical mod. If you direct short it you can end up with a burned hand and face.
Personally I build my coils, test the ohms on my vamo, then if i didnt get it too low i put the RDA on my mechanical mod.
