Hey gang,

I'm enjoying my Aqua so far, but know it could be better.
I've used dual 6-wrap coils (not micro) and cotton, and now have dual 32ga micros, 8 wraps with cotton on now.
The flavor and vapor is pretty good, but those coils are pretty small with 32ga.

Just wondering what you other Aqua users have found as a coil sweet spot. I'm not looking to sub-ohm though. 1.2-2 ohms preferably.
I'm using VV/VW and mechs.

Thanks a bunch.

Same Dual coils, just turn them vertical with the bottom legs of each coil wrapped between the base and the bottom screw post cover, wrapped in hemp fiber around the coils (not in), and drag some of the fiber into each channel.

Here's pics of the fogger v4 for reference:

I'm currently running a 1.2Ω dual coil (2x2.4Ω microcoils), 10 wraps of 30g kanthal around a 14g syringe and I'm loving it. Not really a fog machine, but doesn't take too long to heat up and the flavor is outstanding. Running it on a Vamo V5 at 13 watts.

I also had a 2.2Ω dual coil that was like 10-12 wraps of 32g kanthal around the 14g syringe... It wasn't bad either, I prefer the 30g tho. With the way the air flow is, microcoils seem to do a lot better since you'll get more of the coil covered by air flow.

Same Dual coils, just turn them vertical with the bottom legs of each coil wrapped between the base and the bottom screw post cover, wrapped in hemp fiber around the coils (not in), and drag some of the fiber into each channel.

That looks very interesting... Might have to give that a shot later :O I really don't wanna tear out the coils I have in there now tho lol first time I've had the aqua running so nice :vapor:

Interesting, but what would be the benefit, more coverage over the coils?

Vertical coils like that give a little different kind of vape... A bit warmer (Since the air is running through the coils) so should produce more flavor. Personally I've never tried them, this one looks like it'd be worth a shot tho :p

And since I dont have any hemp fiber, I presume a cotton ball would perform similarly?

Should do, I've seen vertical coil builds on the kayfun/drippers using cotton.

Do yourselves a great favor, and get you sum hemp fiber, cotton works, but HF wicks sooooo much better

Love the aqua, tried many set ups including verticals, for me the best has been using 27g, 7 wraps on a 1.7 mm diameter coil. Each coil is about .8, so total resistance is .4. I also use the hemp fibers. I bottom fill and didn't like the vertical wicks, I just felt like they would move. Also I felt the draw slightly inhabited by all that wicking material needed for a vertical build.

I've currently got my second (and much favored compared to the first) build in mine, and I love it...dual microcoils, 8 wraps each, about 1/16" (1.6mm or so) in diameter, with cotton. And normal configuration, not vertical, though I would like to try verticals at some point.

8 wraps of ....? 28ga? 27ga? other?
