I agree with KenD. The 1300 number is the mAh capacity (how long the battery will last per charge). Unless the battery is a variable voltage battery like a Spinner or Twist, it is limited to a single voltage. Does your battery have a control dial at the bottom of the battery to adjust the voltage?

So by "coils", what type of delivery device are you looking for? A clearomizer, cartomizer, or atomizer?

IS IT A CARTO, A TANK, OR WHAT? GUIDE TO JUICE ATTACHMENTS

We don't always have the right answer immediately, but know the questions to ask.:)

Fixed Battery will give you 4.2v fully charged and settle in at 3.7v or so through the longest portion of use until it starts to drop dopn to cut-off point, around 3.2v.
VV can usually be adjusted from 3.0v or 3.3v to 4.8v.
Most basic top devices between 1.8-2.4ohm will work well with these.

What tank/top devices are you using now?

ETA: You have found the right place - now stop listing to your co-worker.

Boosting power and increasing ohms is sort of equal to being where you now are . Everything balances.

If your Vape is cool and you want it warmer with more vapor:
A) increase power - or
B) lower coil ohms

To much power to a to low coil = a burnt/harsh taste
To little power to a to high ohm coil = little vapor and not much flavor

Flavor does change quite a bit at different heating levels(good or bad)

I run a protank 2 with the stock 2.5 ohm coils on an 1100 mAh twist at anywhere from 3.8-4.4 volts. It makes my fruits really pop. I build pretty solid 2.2 ohm coils that also handle that same range very well. If you're running a fixed voltage eGo battery, I've found that 1.8 ohm coils are the bees knees in every clearomizer that I have.

Most charts say 4-8.5 watts is the "preferred" vaping range for good flavor and vapor production so based off the calculation of voltage squared divided ohms = watts I would say run about 4.2 volts.

(4.2 x 4.2) / 2.1 =8.4

But then again I run my protank at about 10-12 watts on mid VW device. I really like my protank but I wouldn't say I get huge clouds, but hey I like it and it works. Hope this all helps.

That range is great. Higher wattage will sometimes cause a coil to prematurely burn out. That chart is typically for good performance / life of an atomizer. I do run some coils up to 12 watts with no problems. Just depends on what I'm vaping.

I always get nice, flavorful clouds on my pt2 at around 7 watts but I do typically vape delicate fruit flavors that tend to burn easily at too high a power output. I can't stand that nasty burnt/ dry hit taste. I also build my clearos with cotton wicks and that seems to help get good flavor with excellent wicking.
