Reads at 2.1 Ohms (micro coil 28g A1), 4.2 volts freshly charged, ~8.5 watts ... but for some reason coils are getting dark quickly. juice taste good, using 60/40 VG/PG 6mg Nic if that helps any.

Using a CGR18650CH, which should be well within limits.

Could i possibly have a hot spot? shortage somewhere? When i put it to the multimeter, it reads 2.2 ohms - .1 ohms (from my leads) but it jumps a bit before it actually settles in, but in the end I am able to get it consistently at 2.2 ohms (for a good 10 seconds until my hands get jittery lol)

Still very new to vaporizing, so I don't know if this is how its suppose to be..:glare: Thanks !

Your coil turning black is very normal. it's what happens when juice is vaporized and gunk builds up. You'll know when it needs cleaning when it either doesn't produce good tasting vapor anymore, or, it starts tasting burnt. Burnt taste could also be hot spots, but normally, hotspots cause a burned taste almost right away.

Looking at your micro coil, you could indeed have a large hot spot between your coil and the positive post, that's a long run of Kanthal with no wick. Typically, you want the "legs" of your coil as short as possible, unless the legs are non-resistance wire.

Ill definitely push the cotton a little more inwards (towards the positive post) hopefully help with any hotspots if any? Thanks for the relief! :vapor:

And thanks TJ aint nothin better than the positive feedback to stay vapin!
