howdy - and welcome

if you are running the 1 ohm coil that high, likely burning the cotton... what kind of eliquid are you using? vg/pg ratio? dark or sweet flavor? often the juice itself can contribute to coils gunking up quicker - one trick you might try is taking a 'used' coil and soaking it overnight in pga or vodka to clean it - rinse well in hot water, air dry - if wicking is not burnt, likely will be able to get some extra mileage out of the coils...

also, if they are the v1 atlantis coils and you are using a higher vg juice, may be a bit of a wicking issue - may want to look at the v2 or triton coils

Yeah, with sweet stuff, you're probably gunking the wick. Once that happens it stops wicking and then will burn, trashing the coil. Considering that, you really ought to think about getting an RTA or two and building your coils. It's not that hard to do, once you learn how, and best of all you can just replace the wick without changing the coil. Coils usually last me several months, and I re-wick whenever I feel like it or it starts to taste nasty. FWIW-- I don't mean to restart the Great Wick Wars here-- I personally think rayon does a better job wicking, particularly with thick juices, than cotton. Another option, assuming you're burning your coil's wick, is you might be able to re-wick the coils without buying a new one. I don't know if that's possible with your coils-- I'm an RTA man, I know from pre made coil heads-- but if so it would save you a bunch. And if you can, you can try rayon in them, too, see if that helps.
