You see my pic of the quad coil. Each single coil is 1 ohm decided by 4 = 0.25 ohm. The coils aren't huge and one of them puts out nice vapor alone. You should be able to do that. Do you have a multimeter or ohm reader? That would make it much easier. Also make a bigger diameter coil to keep it shorter with higher ohm rating. You could always get some thinner wire as that would increase resistance at the same amount of wraps. Practice makes perfect - nothing's perfect but keep at it and you'll get it.

Well I can't seem to get it. How can I get a 1 ohm build single coil then? I have a regulated device but it only vapes down to 1 ohm..

There are many calculators and coil tools available online to help. Steam Engine's coil tool is good. When I don't have my phone with me I use coil toy -> Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

Android or Iphone get a good ohms law calculator on it.
Android (only) you can install "Vapers Toolkit/Toolbox"

After that get a simple cheap 2post RDA, good sized spools of 28awg and 30awg online from Temco directly, nice digital multimeter or a good ohm reader, and begin practicing wrapping a single coil, mounting it, and reading its resistance. 1ohm to 1.2 ohm target area, don't need to wick and juice it up, this is a practice exercise to get to the point of wrapping a coil consistently at your target resistance using various inner diameters, from nano (1mm and under) to macro coil size (3mm to 4mm). Once you get this down and see how they function, then we can delve into dual coil and other parallel builds. Practice makes perfect.

@RichJr - Possibly another reason why your posted coil setup doesn't heat up well is because technically being twisted wire, in 4 coils it is an octuple (8) coil setup, meaning you need 8X the power a single coil would require at 2ohms, not 1ohm.

You would have less resistance with dual coils ... not more.
Each coil would need to be huge with 26ga (2 ohm) to have a 1 ohm build, and that simply isn't going to work.
In fact if I was to want a dual coil 1 ohm build I think I would use 30 or 32ga wire in order to keep the coil size reasonable.

As a rule of thumb I try to keep my coils no less than 5 wraps and no more than 9 wraps in order to get the best performance from the coil. So I choose my wire gauge to give me the resistance I want with a length of wire within those parameters.
