I just mentioned I rebuild them cause thats where you see the black gunk, on the inside of the cotton not the outside. I suggested it was from high VG but thats not really true it's that most companies add more flavour to high to high VG to get the same result. You can run a tank of unflavoured to clean the cotton too, would give the same results as a wet "dry burn" but may taste a little funky lol.

I started vaping with a Kanger unit, I just bought a smaller Eleaf pico and found the flavor is much better from the E leaf Melo 2 tank so I've bought another Melo tank for the Kanger. I've been working with a Vaporesso Gemini RBA and have gotten some pretty good nickel coils, the problem is when filling the tank putting the top back on causes it to leak, got to try turning it upside down while screwing the cap.
The top fills if it's possible they usually suggest using bottom fill 1st, top fill to refill only. If it can't they suggest turning it upside down and back up the second you get the top on to prevent flooding and create a better vacuum.

If you 're'build a coil that's Not rebuilding?
Now an rta or dripper, thats pushing an agenda?
Actually,, an alternative that yields a higher dividend.
A disposable coil is built to a lower standard, never meant to last through the up & coming Dark Ages..
Suggested the Griffin for the guy with bad hand/eye, 2mm velocity is easy for anyone if they buy pre made coils. I can't see how turning a wire around a jig is "hard" but to a new vaper it may seem that way. Wouldnt suggest re building nautilus to a "new vaper" lol. I didn't suggest anything to a new vaper and agree, the OP said they been vaping 2 years, not a "new vaper" so suggesting rebuilding is a great idea IMO. Rebuilding was my 3rd option but it is off topic so I understand his point.

I like your brand loyalty & vigorous defence thereof.
If it wasn't for the FDA, leisurely experimenting with coils would be fun..

Oh I don't have a Griffin, just looks like my next purchase. Everyone seems to love them. I got Kangers, Aspire and Joyetech... all good IMO. All coils I rebuild too so just getting RTA's from now on, anything with velocity style 4 holes should be easier then building coils. I already had all my tanks before I started rebuilding (3 months). It wasn't till I got my 1st sub ohm, $20+ 5 packs that I decided to start. I didn't mind paying it for Aspire a few times but when juice started costing 3x more... lol. Got into DIY around the same time.
