Eagerly awaiting my t-tip and will definitely try this out. The wait is killing me! lol.

All ttip orders to date (except for the last half day or so) have shipped, so you should see yours today or tomorrow.

Regards,

David

Just using any old hair drier should do the trick as well.

I used to put together electronic circuit boards and we would use a device very similar to an ordinary hair drier, if not an actual hair drier, ( coulda been one / that was a very long time ago ) to shrink those tubes onto the wires.

It 'should' work & you wouldn't have to worry about burning or over-cooking the tubing.

That stuff shrinks rather easily, doesn't take much heat at all.

Once I got mine from the post office and after being in the house a few minutes mine was not even cold. I like the metal in my mouth. I don't think I would like a rubber on the end of mine. I don' like the taste of rubber.

TBH I doubt they have any taste at all. I mean its not like ya'll be eating em or anything like that. Try putting an electronical wire in your mouth, like a HDMI cable, something along those lines. It should be the same thing. If anything, the taste of metals like brass or steel should be ten times more noticeable of a taste than that shrink would ever be.

Again... this is just my somewhat educated guess. I don't spend my days passing time sucking on metal nor plastic all day long. lol ( unless you count e-cig plastic carts ) :p

Hopefully someone who has tried those tips w/ & w/o shrink on em can give a better idea what its like.

It doesn't taste like rubber. It's pretty much the same as any standard plastic tip which is no taste at all.

Yea I didn't think it would. It doesn't really have the same make up of a rubber band. It's just a shrinkable plastic. No elasticity to it whatsoever.

I just wasn't 110% positive that ya'll were talking bout the same material that I used to work w/ nearly 15yrs ago. It was quite possible that the item could've changed since then also. So thx for the clarification. I was kinda curious myself.
