I have posted on this forum at least 3 times that I remember. My posts have been about sorry e-cigs that didn't satisfy me and/or how much trouble I have been having dropping the analogs.

Today, after almost a week of frustration dealing with this I have decided to just go cold turkey. Why? Well, my first experience with e-cigs Smoke51 and the Super Cig was not as I expected. But, I cold turkeyed for 5 days. After coming on here and explaining my experience I found out about the 510. Ordered it, was pleasantly surprised with the product. But, decided to not go cold turkey. Well, this is NOT working. As long as I have analogs, I will smoke them. Yep, no will power. There is no such thing with me to smoke analogs only in morning or whatever. If I have them I smoke them. So, cold turkey it is. Thursday October 22 I will smoke my last analogs. Friday October 23 I will quit smoking those nasty, poisonous, smelly cigs and start e-cigs again and I hope this time will stay with them.

Thanks to all for your advice. Happy vaping!!!

Frankly, I didn't switch to the e-cig thinking it was a cure all for tobacco cigs. I was hoping to cut down on my analog use. I had 1 pack of analogs left when I received my 510. Between smoking the e-cig and the analog, the pack lasted me 2 days. Normally I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day. After the pack was gone, I just didn't buy anymore. The e-cig satisfied all my cravings/addictions. Hopefully, the same thing will happen for you :)

I think your story highlights the important fact that e-cigs are not a 'magic bullet' to smoking cessation. Regardless of the reason they were developed and the marketing of these devices in China, they cannot be used, in all cases, to cause one to quit smoking. If you are really motivated to do so, your mind set to quit is the primary factor that will get you to that goal.

I am fortunate that e-cigs have kept me analogpfree for around 8 months. That said, I would appear to be addicted to another nicotine habit, while reducing the immense harm I was doing to my body by smoking analogs.

Good luck also! I loved to smoke, had no desire to quit, but was intrigued by the ecig. I thought it might be a way to 'smoke' at work, etc. Well I like vaping so much better I surprised myself by quitting cigs!
I feel so much better and I have 6 packs of unopened packs still at home with no desire to light one up! I think it's just in all of our unique body chemistry or whatever, but for me, this is it!

I'm feel the same! As long as I have analogs around I'll smoke them. Even though I've spent a ton of money on 3 different brands of ecigs, passthroughs, and several different kinds of nic juice. I've even got into DIY juice. I still have not given up the real thing. ugh! I was thinking the same thing- I will smoke the rest of what I have and go cold turkey, with the help of ecigs, on Friday. So you have a partner in quitting on Friday. :)

I don't even know if it will be hard- I've never even tried to use ecigs to satisfy my cravings. How stupid is that!

I'm trying this now. We'll see how well I do :D
I smoked my "last" analog tonight.

I'm kinda that way too. Smoke 'em if you got em. Then, it gets easier and easier to pass up that store and just say 'no thanks, I have my e-cigs now, don't need cigarettes any more.' After a couple days, you won't mind. Don't be surprised by a little growliness as you adjust but trust me, it will pass and will be mild if it bothers you at all.
