College Vaping

Hi there,

I have been vaping for about a month (regularly). At my age of 26 I finally started going to college. Anybody else vape while in class? I have a few times after explaining to my teacher what it is and they are fully supportive of it when I told them I am trying to quit smoking.

I used to vape a little in class, but I tried to make sure no one saw so I didn't have to answer ?'s. I know I should be telling everyone about PV's, but I am so sick of telling ppl about it. I like the people with the card idea and when ppl ask I usually direct them to the forum.

I stealth vape in class also, but my reason for not just vaping outright is that I don't want to take away the instructors time with the inevitable 14875854 questions. I don't mind explaining, and pointing people in the direction of the forum.

I haven't vaped in my classes yet, but I don't really think I will anyway.
I feel that if I could wait to smoke until the breaks, then I may as well wait to vape during the breaks.

It just becomes too much of a distraction to others in the classroom if someone sees it, in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of distractions in class. I'm one of those people who prefer to get as much out of a class as possible.

Maybe I'm just a black sheep on that subject, but still. haha.

This. My college is a smoke-free campus, and we have designated gazebos to smoke in. I go there, like I always did with everyone else, and I vape. People often ask why I still go there, but honestly, if it weren't for these gazebos, I wouldn't make any friends, haha!

I technically go to the "smoking" section, but since it isn't really designated, it's just everyone sitting out front of the campus smoking. It gets really bad during the morning when people are smoking, the entire first floor of the building reeks of smoke. I never noticed it until I started vaping.

I usually keep to myself even then. I've only ever really talked to a couple of people while smoking/vaping only because the conversation always ends up about some party and I'm not really into that scene.

I am unable (emphysema=low lung capacity) or don't know how to stealth vape lol. I am 44 yrs old and just started back to college this summer. I have been vaping for the past 2 months and I DO vape in class. My teachers and classmates are fine with it. I wasn't real sure about my math class- my teacher is from Romania, but she loves the idea and wants her hubby to try these. Vaping is especially helpful during test taking and stress. Before that, I would chew the nic gum because I wasn't able to make it 2 hrs without a cig.
I would say, talk to your instructors 1st, show them your PV and tell them how it's helped you stop/control your analog usage, how these are perfectly harmless for those around you (just water vapor) and I'm pretty sure they will be fine with it
