Exhale Vapors Vamo pics now show colored units but they don't list them in the selection.
The color covers the entire unit so it doesn't appear to be a commercially available wrap.

I find it odd they would come out with the V2 in colors when the V3 is supposedly coming out.

The V3 is odd looking to be polite, and it only accepts 18650 batteries. I like the oled screen, but other than that I would much rather have the V2. Judging by some of the other post I have seen, I am not alone in my preference for the V2. I hope the V2 stays around for a long while, great value for those who have a tight budget.

V3 is just plain ugly. Period! If they want to upgrade the Vamo, don't paint it... make it telescopic like the Sigelei. If I didn't already own three Vamo's, I would certainly think about the Sigelei.

I have both, they are both the same size in 650 and 350 modes. The Sigelei looks cleaner but the menu is a huge PITA. I like it but keep grabbing the Vamo around the house. It's just nice to hit a button up or down. It literally takes about 10 seconds to change the voltage and thats is if you don't accidentally skip over the menu item.

Those look nice! I want a red one, a white one, and a blue one. I'll use the extra extenders to make a 18650 stacked all American baton. I can roam the streets safe from being attacked AND running out power.

but can you twirl it like a baton?
xD

My concern would be the finish won't be any better than the presently available metal colors.
A durable textured finish, like the Bolt, would sell me.

Powdercoat would be the way to go, durable, would look great and the finish would last. They will never do this though, quantity over quality everytime it seems.

Yah, I know about the PITA Sigelei menu... that's why I bought Vamo's instead. However, I do like the telescoping and if we could get a telescoping Vamo, that would be cool!

I agree. In fact the white one already looks like it has a chip near the seam where the top connects to the body. By the way, I had a chance to view an anodized bolt today... it looked pretty bad. Anodizing was damaged all over the place!

In an interview with Phil Busardo, Zen mentioned that it is nigh on impossible to get an even powdercoat finish on small pieces needed for a PV. Zen knows a powdercoating expert who figured out how to use the unevenness as a design feature. I wouldn't think the Chinese would be anywhere near up to that powdercoating skill level.

I would love a pink as well as a purple VAMO but I don't think I want to take a chance on the Chinese paint jobs.
