Nah. I like cloudz.
Need some help I got the freemax mpro tank with a quintuple coil in it. I put it in and used it for one day. I've been hitting it on 60watts all day. I turn it up a little to try and and see what it can do and how it would taste. Immediate burnt cotton. And blew the coil. Did I do something wrong or are coils like that prone to just burnout?

I dunno, I don't own any freemax products and I vape only vape at about 25W max, but usually 18-21W.

Aegis X Geek Vape, Zeus sub-ohm tank with .20ohm coil. I'm currently using Tres Leches from coastal clouds. I vary my wattage between 40-50 watts with my airholes half open. It seems to be producing enough vapor and taste for me. But eventually I would like to move up to higher watts.
Just so you're aware, the higher watts you go for vaper production, the less flavor you're going to get. It's the trade off.

I have another tank the freemax m pro 4 with quintuple coils. I run that on 70 watts with the airholes all the way open. But it seems to heat up too fast and after taking a hit smoke continues to come out. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I don't like all metal tank setups
The M Pro is regarded as one of the better subohm tanks on the market atm for DL vapers. The 904L coils are quite hardy and last a long time if used correctly. There have been reports of the coil dry hitting within the first day or so of use, which people automatically correlate with the coil going bad. I would check to make sure you're tipping the tank to the side or even rolling it around to allow the air bubbles forming in the coil to release out of the juice ports. Are you seeing little bubbles flowing out from the coil into your tank after you vape it? The heat is something that simply can't be prevented. Is the tank getting too hot to touch your lips to it? Are you feeling your mod heat up? What is too hot about the tank? The vape you see coming out of the chimney after you vape is the coil cooling down. Kanthal generally has a longer heating period as well as a longer cooling period. There's nothing mechanically adverse about the vape fizzling out after you fire it.

If you're looking to try and cool the tank down some, there are these that may help:
$1.74 Replacement Heat Insulation Gasket for Atomizers (5-Pack) 5-pack at FastTech - Free Shipping
$2.14 510 Heat Dissipation Heat Sink for Atomizers - stainless steel / 25mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
The latter being the better option for cooling.

Your coil isn't likely "blown". You may taste some burnt flavoring for a few vapes, but that should go away. I would recommend sticking to 60w if it's working for you. The M4 coil itself ranges up to 110w, but that depends on what the coil is reading for ohms. Also, do you carry your vape around in your pocket, or knock it around at all?

That's not my experience. Higher watts = more heat = more flavor. However there is a point where too much heat will degrade flavor. It depends on the flavor (and PG/VG ratio and even the coil and wick) as to how high you can go before flavor degradation occurs.

Yeah, I meant generally speaking. Also on the lower ends for wattage with a low ohm coil, less vape means less flavor. The vape volume for me feels more dense or like it has more depth which I've found to be around 45-60w. Above that, the vape feels too hot and I think this leads to a shorter draw. Also, the juice flavor plays a huge part imo, since custardy/cream/milky flavors with added heat seem to be more pleasant than a fruit flavor that's also heated up. Menthol can probably go both ways. This is my biggest gripe when trying to switch to an MTL - I feel like the flavor can be more concentrated, but very quick to dissipate and I think that can be attributed to the lesser density in clouds.

I like how my voice sounds like I have a mouth full of cotton when I talk as I exhale that dense vapor. Chicks think it's sexy too.

I will try the rolling the tank around to get bubbles out. It just tasted burnt so I threw it out. But I will keep that in mind. And the metal part at the top where you can slide to add juice and where the tip goes in gets hot and hits my lips sometimes.

Hmm. Are you chain vaping it a lot? Try not pressing your lips to the top cap - instead, cup the drip tip with your lips.

That's what I do sometimes I can feel the heat coming off of the tank.
Yeah, that simply can't be avoided. Try opening up the airflow control a bit to get more air flowing through there. The temperature of the vape coming up through the chimney is what is likely heating up the top cap. Try a lower wattage and see if you are still getting good flavor. For coils from 0.1 to 0.25ish, I vape around 45 to 55w. I get enough flavor and enough clouds for my liking. Keep trying different things at lower wattage - you may find the extra wattage not even necessary.
