I think that is the point.
You are a level headed rabbit, in a privately owned police state.
You get to decide if it is pushing the limits or not.
Guess the ECF mods were tired of chasing those who live to push the envelope.
They show naked boobies on the BBC all the time?
I understand that it is their "show" but alienating the many, to appease the few, is just silly...
+ The mods can take care of problems quickly.
How many rules do adolescents have to break before their parents crack down?
So, you're saying the mods (who are volunteers btw)....on a global effort, to accommodate time changes....have to up their babysitting because some of the children don't play by the rules? (especially during the wee hours)
Why aren't you upset that the select few who push the limits caused all ECF'ers to suffer the consequences?

PLEASE NOTE - Disclaimer: This Is Just My PERSONAL Thoughts and Opinion on the subject . . . It is not meant in anyway to cause an argument or ill tempered discourse discussing what or what not has been done by the ECF administration or Moderators . . . It is only My personal opinion, because I have been involved with the same problem and situation - so I really hope I am not put into the "Sin Bin" nor banned for .expressing "My" views as a member of ECF . . Now with that said . . .
First of all - I and "We" all know this is a public forum about Electronic Cigarettes - That is why we originally came here . . . to Learn about eCigs and to get HELP from others who knew more about the products and SUPPORT from those who have been able to achieve this major step into the "World of Vaping' . . . MORE IMPORTANTLY - TO QUIT SMOKING CIGARETTES" . . .
AND- I could not agree any more with both sides of the discussion here so far . . . More importantly, if anything I do not think I am a prude in any since of the word at all . . . I do really like seeing both photos of Women and Men that are and have been posted all over the forum here - especially since to me shows the more real and humorous side of people we meet here and it helps to keep the conversations going, especially when going though this process can be so depressing and frustrating to so many people (AND - I know all to well how true this is for many people - not only as someone going through the process myself - but as someone who is a professional counselor in "Behavioral Modification Therapy" ) . . .
For "ME" - I truly enjoy seeing those photos that are interesting, "titillating" (no pun intended) and charming to look at of Both Women and Men - particularly when it is both and not so one sided too (that is just one of the reasons I like "Whiskey's" and "REDD's" post so much - they always post "tasteful" although sometimes on the edge photos that I enjoy viewing of both Women and Men and as for Avatars well let's just say I cannot wait till "Jazz's" comes back - very sexy ) . . . Matter of fact, there is one forum I know of that has a couple of "Special" sections - one of which is an Adult only section where certain discussions and naked photos are posted of BOTH Women and Men (No NOT Having Sex or even considered Pornographic unless you have a that mind set) that are very sexy and just on the edge . . . BTW: I have even enjoyed viewing and have posted there myself . . . Matter of fact, I also know professionally that Sex and Sexual interest is very effected when you and your body are going though this type of physical change too . . . there are psychological, emotional, and physical issues . . . so having discussions concerning these issues is just as important . . . AND - IMHO - there should be an "area" for these discussions . . .
However, as "Jazz" stated "there's a difference between sexy and porn". . . .(HEY - BTW: I know where I can find "porn" and it has come in very handy
at times) . . . Even given this there is a very fine line between some of the photos that have been posted and the majority of the photos that have been posted on ECF is not offensive at all given that this is an adult only forum also . . . But lets face it and get real - there are some photos that really do cross the line - particularly of Women in compromising positions that are in YOUR FACE (photos with spread open legs, bearing breast w/nipples showing, "camel toes," etc. and even some action ones) that NO ONE has been getting upset with or has been reported - although if it is of a Man with their genitalia showing through a bathing suit/underwear or the top of their groin showing - all 
breaks out and people get upset (especially by the majority of men who do not like seeing other men that look better or have more than they do ). . .
SO what is next . . . With all this said - I would just hope that everyone will get it together and realize that we are all different and see things differently too . . . that some form of compromise can be made that will not upset the majority and we can all get back to enjoying ourselves and supporting each other though this all . . .

Generally I don't decide I just enforce the rules. If I see a questionable post I'm more likely to edit (and yes I have caught heck for this) or ask the op to edit to stay out of trouble. If I'm not sure I do a soft delete and ask the higher mods if I was right and if not the post is restored. Now it's a different story if I see someone being mean, rude, or taking advantage of our members - then I don't fool around. That's the bunny you don't want to see. Luckily pif has some of the most genuinely nice people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and I only do this job to keep them safe. Believe me - this job SUCKS sometimes.

To answer your question quickly - YES.
When you volunteered for this job, you have taken it upon the job moderating what falls within the rules.
People understand that you have the right to tell us what is "nice" and "naughty".
You were deemed a level headed person and given certain powers.
I'm sure that MODs can retire if they don't want to "babysit" anymore.

Because those people who push the limits are the ones who let me know if I want to continue playing here or not.
The consequences are that if things become to restrictive here, members are going to me elsewhere in droves.
And furthermore, the select few, that you speak of, should not dictate the rules; therefore, all ECF'ers should not suffer the consequences.
I hope that helps define my point of view...

That said, I've always been an envelope-pusher and bring up perceived injustices but I have found its not a good idea to expound on my views here, I don't need OS to tell me again!!!
