Have you ever met me? I can cruise right through that crowd, I have a biker look that they don't screw with even thoughI'm a peace-loving hippie, sometimes being unsmiling with a slight limp is a good cover!!! No, I see kids from my son's school, I always think WTF?

Yes, but by being at Wally World after midnight you are, by definition, included in the sample of "people at Wally World after midnight." Doesn't matter if they mess with you or not ;)

OK,, there are those, too, that are disabled by genetics or years of abuse......:(

Yes, but they are usually not at walmart after midnight--they are usually avoiding the crowd that "waited to go so they wouldn't have to dress up" as well ;)

I very rarely go to Walmart. But when I do it's usually after midnight.

Personally I find the main differences between people at Walmart and people at, say, Target or J.C.Penny's are the clothes and accent. The only reason there are more stupid people at Walmart is because there are more people at Walmart.

But what do I know--I'm generally misanthropic anyway...

I'm a misanthropic solipsist--does that mean I only hate myself?

Maybe I'm just old and curmudgeonly now but I can't imagine going out in public dressed the way these wal mart people dress  not everyone can be good looking but everyone can look good. Soap is cheap!!
Another thing - remember when people in parking lots walked to the side so cars can actually drive? Why do these idiots with their 10 kids walk dead center of the road? And what's up with the family reunions in the middle of the aisle? :grr:
Every time I go their I think of this:

I support the moderation of Spandex. And guns.

Whoever said that guns don't kill people... Seriously, that little bit of rhetoric drives me nuts. Guns do kill people. That's what guns are for. That is why they are made and their reason for being.

"but it takes a person to blah de blah the blah doctor!"

HORSE COOKIES. Google accidental shooting deaths. Look at the murder rates of places that have banned handguns and tightened gun laws compared to the USA.

You live in a country where you can buy alcohol and guns *in the same store*. And this strikes you as reasonable??

Vaping since: a while

Uh huh  because we ALL KNOW before guns came about in the 16th century no one was ever killed in the entire history of the world
That's why I keep my guns locked up - I'm afraid they'll go out and shoot someone
Doesnt matter if it's a gun a rock a sword or a stick - there has to be a person wielding it. Plain and simple. If your too irresponsible to properly store your weapon your too irresponsible to have children. Just my 2 cents.
as for accidental deaths - google car crashes and household cleaners etc etc etc.
As for spandex - if you need 5x you probably shouldn't wear it  and they shouldn't even make it

Sorry to derail your thread again John :(

The USA would be a better place if the money wasted on the war against ......... would be spent to fight illiegal gun and weapon sales and a better registration of the guns now in existence and a complete outlawing of autos punishable with a lengthy prison term -- the fact is is noone is slaying 13 and wounding a couple scores more with a machete or a crossbow.......:2c:

Ya know, I really don't like Walmart for their business practices and institutionalized mistreatment of workers, but the issues you keep bringing up don't sound like Walmart issues. Perhaps you should take a look at where you're living as much as where you're shopping...

Another thing - remember when people in parking lots walked to the side so cars can actually drive? Why do these idiots with their 10 kids walk dead center of the road? And what's up with the family reunions in the middle of the aisle? :grr:

Yep. Walmarts were around for a long time before they made it here, so perhaps they just started as a congregation point for those of you who wanted to get rid of local businesses before we did, but this kind of behaviour is definitely not limited to Walmart. For one thing, I make it to a Walmart about once every couple of months but I deal with that crap every day.

Or perhaps you and Ripple just spend way too much time at Walmart ;)

That's the problem, though--everyone can. It's just that most people shouldn't...

Yep. The people like John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Charles Cullen, Dean Coril, &c. &c. are both more prolific and more efficient. And the people like Albert Fish (for whom the actual killing is usually the mistaken collateral damage) would never be caught if they'd simply stop at a couple score.

Guns do not kill people. No matter how long you leave it on the table, it will not kill anyone without some sort of active involvement. To support your argument about "accidental shootings" being the fault of the gun, you will have to find the ones that happened with no people involved...

Guns do make it easier for people to kill each other. But despite the tired argument about no one killing scores of people with a knife, the fact is the most prolific murderers in history avoided guns. The people who commit mass/serial murder do not use guns. The people who burst into a post office or school or movie theatre and open fire aren't trying to kill other people, they are trying to commit suicide and they don't have the cojones to do themselves...

I think everyone on the planet should be given a gun and 100 rounds of ammunition. The problem will sort itself out eventually :thumb:

I think everyone on the planet should be given a gun and no one should be given any ammunition. That'll frustrate 'em. :)
