Sounds to me that you just don't have the personality to handle redheads, or the ones you've met weren't born red. When I've compared the "maintenance" of redheads to others it seems pretty much on par. Unless we define "maintenance" and "rewards" differently--I suppose your "extremely high maintenance" might be what I consider the "incredible rewards"...
