ok.. so heres the run down. they are "single point piercings" which means the piercing goes in but doesnt go OUT really. they are also called dermal anchors which is basically the best discription. they are "anchored" into your skin. so after the guys (yes i had TWO hottie piercers on my chest) looked, measured, marked and confirmed the spots, you get layed down on the table. they have a 10G needle (which is a pretty darn big needle) and they have to go into the skin and turn the needle and go in again. then take it out. then they go BACK in the same initial hole and turn it the other way and go in again. they have to make like an upside down T under your skin. they then get the jewelry which is small and looks like the little pull thingy from a zipper, but has a post shicking out from the middle. this post is what has the threads inside that you screw the jewelry into. they put the anchor into the upside down T pocket that was made and turn it till it POPS into place in the T. when it heals u can unscrew the little metal flatten ball that they use initially to pierce, and screw in a new piece of jewelery. they look real cute with like a small gemstone. ive picked out mine already they are a lavender color. so what you land up with when it heals is a small hole with thread to screw in different stones into.
