Ok I know I'm going to get a beating here for saying this but nothing turns me off more than piercings and tattoos.

I'd have to go along with you on this one. I can maybe handle 1 or 2 tastefull well placed tats. At least they go away when the lights go out. But the thought of running into "hardware" while "exploring and adventuring" is a big turn off.

Visually I find a long smooth healthy area of unbroken skin much more appealing than gems, baubles, or ink stains of any nature.

Physically skin is beautiful and very sensual and actually the largest organ of the human body. I, like many, love how it feels, smells, tastes, etc when you're with someone who's chemically (pheromonally?) compatable. Even how it reacts to touch, hot, cold, moisture, breath, etc is amazing.

Running into metal or stone kind of puts a damper on much of the above. Not to mention how many nerves get cut or damaged in the process.

actually i really love piercings and tats. im wanting more already!

Wait and see how you like these first, its always easier to add than take away.........:)

Ok let the beating commence

I'm not a big fan, either, I have seen some stuff, mostly on strippers........8-o

Michelle, Ouch. That sounds like the process would be painful until it was done

Lox you can have an opinion without getting beat

As long as it is the same as Jazz's

Damned straight, always check with the better half before opening your mouth is a good tactic at all times!!!

the pain is half the fun!

Hmmmmmm........:)

i can appreciate and respect others opinions. :D to me, tattoos and piercings are both beautiful in their own ways. most piercings i like. very few i dont. but as in tattoos some are nice, others eh.. lol. the one thing about piercings that i like is that if you ever dont want them or change your mind, you take them out and they heal with very little change to your body. tattoos although i love them too, are more permanant. you change your mind, your looking at alot of cost and laser treatments...ouch! i have my tongue, nose and ears pierced. im not too bad...lol. and couple tats.

My brother loved my SIL's pierced tongue when they were engaged -- she took it out after marriage much to his chagrin!!!:lol::lol:

I've seen old biker babes with tats, nothing lookes worse than a woman with a low cut halter with a was-3 inch, now-8 inch rose on her boob!!! Or one of the those now-giant and expanding tramp stamps!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I can maybe see one or two tasteful tattoos - maybe. Ok no not really.
But I keep expecting some of these people walking around covered in head to toe to ask me for my circus ticket. I keep hearing Groucho Marx singing "Lydia The Tattooed Lady" :p
Piercings? Other than ears - ick.

Does anyone understand the sleeves who isn't a tattoo afficionado?!?!? They are the stupidest looking things in the world to me!!!

Yes, a pierced female body aprt could cause pain for everyone -- the piercing has to be done well for the woman from what I've been told; a man has to be careful about, well, rubbing too much against it......

There are pros and cons to both sides. I personally prefer lots of tattoos (my beautiful wife has full sleeves, her feet and her back is half completed and a few on her head), and they are gorgeous expressions of her life and soul. She also takes care of herself so they don't have the "I used to have a sexy body" appearance as she knows it will destroy her artwork.

I only have a couple small ones. I am too indecisive on what I would permanently wear on my body. Both of us have let our few piercings (NEVER any lower than the belt line - we will leave it at that) close over the years.

They are also done by a VERY reknowned tattoo artist who is a leader in shop design that promotes safe and efficient environments. She tours the country once a year to teach shops how to make their environments sterile and more comfortable for their clients.

They are much like mods. most the cheap ones are ugly and just get worse over time, but some are beautifully designed and built. Her creamy skin is a perfect canvas and the work is top notch, so it only accentuates her natural beauty.

Mine are much more intentionally rough. Very rough and punk rock mostly done by apprentists because I wanted them to look that way (it is very easy to tell that they were professionally done if you look at them closer).

Aren't you glad we are all so unique?!?!?!

No MRI's for you!

When they were diagnosing and tracking my MS they didn't make me remove mine. We tested first to be sure, but it seems that 316LVM (implant-grade surgical steel) is non-magnetic enough not to react to an MRI. Which basically means it's non-magnetic.

Of course I only had to have 7 MRI's that first week so you might think it was a fluke, but I didn't have to remove them for any of the follow-ups, either...

It was several years ago--so no, I'm not magnetized. Don't need a compass to tell which way is north, though. Because I'm not in a "city" so we still have real trees and can see the stars at night...

And the MS is no big deal. I got very lucky in having it diagnosed in a couple of months (instead of a couple of years) and I haven't had an attack/episode/flare-up/whatever in about five years. It hit me very fast and hard, but we got it knocked out to the point that I wouldn't even say I have it except I can't handle warm weather anymore.

And if I start going numb or curling up again, we know where to start looking this time :thumb:

You could almost say it's one of the principle upon which this country was founded...

Good, early diagnosis is key, I have friends who were diagnosed more than 2 decades ago and still have not much effect...:thumb: Oh, and a ((((MAN_HUG)))) :)

I think being magnetic would get old, you'd have stuff stuck on you all the time!!!! Piercings on others may be a problem, too.....

I was replying to this and got hit with a lot of personal crap.

I will try to become interested in posting again asap, hopefully it won't be more than a day or two. I would normally not post something like this as it smacks of drama queen, but this will be the third or fourth time in the last month I've disappeared in the middle of a conversation and I'm also tired of being rude...
